For being brand new, it works well.

With you, I stand

The avatar team is amazing! They welcome feedback and strive to make our dreams happen. They seem to be working out bugs quickly and taking notes of all our hopes and dreams. Yes, of coarse, it has some kinks that need to be worked out. You can’t run before you learn to walk, and most people have to learn how to crawl before they walk. This app is at the crawling stage or even just gaining control over its limbs. Point being, it’s a newborn. It needs time and attention to grown and be spectacular! Something that I would like to see is the ability to set a 24hr window for tracking and be able to change it periodically for when I need to track when I’m on day shift vs when I’m not night shift. I also like the ability to copy meals over to the next day and to look back at the week. To add to this, I think it would be cool incorporated what the excel spreadsheet does into the app and let us know if we are compliant for the week. None of these are “must have it or I’m not paying for your service” type things but I believe they are game changing and would make my life easier.

Need to be able to see past dates!

G Willy 888

I’ve been a member for about 2 months. I’ve liked putting my food diary on mymacros+ but was awaiting the new app specifically for avatar nutrition. Now that it’s here, I kinda want to go back. I can’t go back and see past dates. Not even yesterday’s diary. I work shift work and sometimes work overnight so I want to see how close I am to meeting my macros and I can’t. It is better in terms of putting in more food as it has more options available than mymacros did. Fix the dates and this app would be great!

A good start

It’s a good start for an app. It would be nice to have a history of previous days and sync with Apple health app. Great macro targeting program, though.

I think this apps food database is pretty good and the concepts all fit macros. A few issues to note is that some food doesn't seem to stay eaten lol. It'll show it's entered then a few minutes later it will dissapear (at least for me anyways). Also food search under brand will have select items not allow you to change the serving size. Also I keep getting a problem with changing servings and getting promoted "custom unit" instead of seeing the original unit of measurement it started off with. It also won't allow me to choose anything for custom unit unless I make a completely new food. Not hating this app whatsoever and know glitches/bugs are unavoidable. Quite frankly it's a diamond in the rough. I think this app for a first day launch is great and will be the game changer everyone is looking for.

Very disappointed

miss_haleyy

For a company who’s leading in the nutrition industry, I expected a LOT more. There’s no recipe builder. Can’t differentiate between meals. Can’t copy meals day to day. I know the main focus is macros, but tracking micros to keep an eye on overall health intake would be appreciated, I was really hoping to get that when switching from MyMacros+. I knew there would be a bit of transfer, getting my food database rebuilt in a new app, but without the recipes, it’s pointless. And there’s nothing else to make it remotely worth it. Basically I haven’t even been able to use this app because it’s lacking sooooo many key features, I’ve just stuck with MyMacros+.

Love avatar but disappointing app

Serave84

Hi all, I love avatar nutrition, their system and team is awesome. I got to say, two years to deliver this app is really disappointing. Any food tracking app is better than this. I’m looking forward for the dev team to catch up to the high bar set by the rest of the team. Looking for fast iterative improvements

Mediocre

Aimology

App doesn’t show previous days and it lumps all food into 1 thing instead of separate meals... The fact the scanner works well and it picks of different measurements is the only thing good about it. It’s vanilla at best at the moment till they improve it. MyMacros+ is still far superior....

Way to go Avatar!

The app is great! They have a broad search menu that I have found almost everything on. And even if I can’t find it, I can add it and even save to favorites. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to see previous days totals, and to see how well you did week over week. This for me would allow for reflection and just a reference point so I can do better or make changes as needed. Other than that I’m loving that it loads all of my macros and updated goals. Well done guys, I can’t wait to see what is next!! -Samantha

Wish I could plan more than just today

Kaymers

So I like the new app. But when I was using MyMacros+ I could plan my whole week on sundays so that I could stay on track and also prep pan my meals when I had time to make them. So I would like to see an update with that feature. But otherwise I like the app.

Never made it past PASSWORD

AWilkes121

I’d love to try this app but I literally made about 15 attempts at choosing a password and it wouldn’t accept it. Even with 8 characters, upper and lower case, it still couldn’t be convinced. I give up. ?
