Pretty good so far, could use some tweaks.

What I appreciate about the app and the device is that it is truly geared for the parent looking for information about their teen driver. You can set up speed alerts and get notified about potentially reckless driving habits. We haven't had to use it, but there is also a feature where you can call for emergency roadside assistance, get a tow, get gas delivered etc. I like that the app and the tracking are connected directly into the cars onboard diagnostic system rather than being subject to tracking through the phone which could either lose battery, get lost or simply be turned off. This thing is on even when the ignition is off. Also great for finding your car in a crowded parking lot or God forbid it gets stolen. Right now a few minor complaints: the updates can be a little slow at times. And speaking of the speed alerts, it will be nice if it were a bit more dynamic. For instance if there were function that would take into account the car's location and depending on the speed limit of that specific road or street, send me alerts if my teen driver goes over the speed limit. We found out the hard way that the set it and forget it with the speed alert is counterintuitive. We kept getting alerts that our son was driving 68 miles an hour and of course we were concerned. However after a moment, we realized that he was on I-57, an interstate highway were the speed limit was 70, so it was obviously a false alarm. I know this technology exists, because my car's GPS map will display speed limits and changes as I drive. One last thing: the user interface is a little clunky and I just wish the graphics were sleeker and nicer, like something you would see on Uber, Mojio, or Automatic. But thanks for what you have done so far, you give me peace of mind when my 17-year-old is on the road!

So GLAD I did not buy this!!
Drumthumb2000

It sells for $100 but I got it for free from the driving school my son goes to. Thought it'd be worth a look. It is a VERY good idea. But it doesn't work! LOL. there is NO information available about the car after 90 minutes of waiting! The website says it may take up to 12 fr----in hours for info to arrive ! LOL IN 12 hours someone could be in the hospital, lost, buried in snow or whatever. When this gets out of the testing stage and makes it into the real world it might - MIGHT - be worth a second look. I give it 2 stars for pretty colors. The sign-up is confusing and clunky. You should be able to add all monitors and drivers immediately. Needs to be a much smoother install and setup. Too much clicking and waiting. Nice concept - botched delivery. If it isn't ready to work flawlessly every time, everywhere, all the time with real time data upload and delivery DO NOT RELEASE IT- lol!! Good lord what a massive waste of time!!

Liked it at first

Upon first installation, it did the job. Now iPhone app isn't working or it lags terribly. Frustrating.

Stay away
MisterSlugworth

At first this product seems to work OK. It didn't give me any alerts as to when the car turned on or in motion, but it did show me the location of the car. After a few days it stopped reporting anything. I gave it a couple days more and it drained my car battery as it never turns off. It's a waste of money and will drain your car battery. On top of that you can't cancel within the app and good luck reaching anyone in customer service to cancel. So

Please Update!

Was working great at first, now the app won't even load or open. Please update asap!

Super useful!

I love being able to see all kinds of information about my car from my phone. I can also see about how much money I spend on a drive, so I can figure out the most efficient way to travel. Finally, it helps when I am worried about my fiancé and want to know how far away she is.

Nice!

This app is super useful. The personal trip reports are great but it's really nice knowing I can find my family members location in an emergency. Also having the car health alerts and a mechanic friend have already helped it pay for itself.

Useless waste of money
HottWeelz

This device and app is absolutely useless. You get what you pay for. Livid over time wasted. ***tech support is indeed trying to make good on this situation. Just not there yet ...updated to two stars. **downgraded back. It’s been two months. They’re giving me free credits and that’s great (I guess). Two months and tech support can’t figure out why this device doesn’t work. I’ve also worked with them in TWO cars. The device is probably bad but they refuse to swap it out. Also avoid the “super useful” five star reviews. Clearly two people won’t use the same term In Their reviews so it’s fake. It’s a shame, but this device just does not work. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 2003 Nissan pickup with 160k miles or a 2016 Jeep Patriot with 10k miles.

Nearly perfect

I am pretty happy with my Autobrain. My car finder sometimes takes a minute or two to update, but often it updates within a few seconds.

This App Is Wonderful!

This app can definitely help you save some money on your car. If you like to DIY things, it sends you all the alert codes for your car so you can research and fix them yourself. It's helped me realize that even though my car runs, it has some issues that need to be fixed. If that's not your thing, it can let you know before your engine reaches critical mass to get someone else to look at it. A+ in my book.
