App is super smooth and has everything you need. Very easy to use(it has a beginner mode). You can set altitude and speed limits. Overall great drone and app.

Soul Thief
Autel Robotics could be considered the underdog in the drone world, however they are really kind of the best kept secret. Their customer service is top notch and always professional. They offer their customers a more personal experience, rather than just being a number. They also listen to the feedback of their customers, including requests and suggestions in their updates. The reason for the 4 stars is the current lack of live streaming capabilities and tracking options on the drone. Once these are implemented I will be changing to 5 stars. Hopefully, we will see the release of the 20MP camera very soon as for now I am holding off on another drone purchase awaiting this.

The X-Star Premium drone is SO easy to fly and captures unbelievable footage and photos. Everyone raves about DJI simply because they’re “the brand” but you can get a better quality, user friendly, high tech video drone with Autel Robotics instead for a better price and better service experience. 10/10
Cannot calibrate compass

Good app BUT it does not work with latest iOS 11.2

Great app and a much needed one for the Autel and — it did work flawlessly. After the 11.2 iOS update, many features are now useless. You will be able to view your flight in the app, height and distance as well. However many features, options do now work anymore. Gimbal adjustments, formatting memory card, etc. Changing video, photo settings especially cannot be accomplished. You can still take video and photos via the RC (not the app, buttons are not functional are now grayed out) but as of now you are simply guessing that the app/drone is actually capturing your footage. If you own Autel and have not upgraded your devices to 11.2, do NOT update the Apple firmware right now. The Starlink app will be very limited and extremely frustrating to use. **From what I understand “XStar relies on iAP2 communications” - and “until Apple fixes the iAP2 support, this app will not work properly.” Can’t say I’m happy with this news. So right now it seems Autel is waiting on Apple to fix the problem. And right now my drone is grounded until the issue has been resolved.
Doesn’t work on 11.2

Initially the app worked beautifully and was able to capture videos and photos however after upgrading to iOS 11.2 it no longer always me to capture videos or photos. I can still see the live video link while flying. But it’s taking too long for a new update from Autel.
