AudioNote 2 offers the AudioNote 2 Pro subscription for $6.99 / year along with a 1 month free trial. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate specified above. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited.

I can almost give AudioNote 2 a 5-star rating, and for the life of me, I do not understand how anyone could rate it 1 or 2 stars. I think that reveals more about user incompetence than it does about this excellent app. All in all, it’s nearly perfect. In fact, I hesitate to list what I think are its shortcomings, because it performs so well. But there are 3 aspects where I see room for improvement. 1. Better iPad integration with Apples Files app. I keep my current AudioNote work on my MacBook desktop, and I’d like to be able to open it on iPad and immediately edit. Instead, I have to download the whole audio file first. 2. Like nearly everyone else, AudioNote now requires a subscription to use advanced features. But I think the fee is unreasonably high. (And it would have been a good move to offer us early adopters of the original product a discount or some similar incentive. Nonetheless, the fee is too high.) 3. BIGGIE: Less complicated playback speed controls.
Doesn’t work for phone calls

I downloaded this app hoping to be able to record meetings held via phone. Every time I would try to use audio not on my phone to record a call, audio note2 would stop working and give me a massage saying audio note was interrupted. There must be some kind of conflict if you are trying to the app to record a call on the same device. It works great for recording a conversation and take notes. There may be some utility in recording meetings when everyone is in the same room or you have another phone that has a speaker function

Direct, easy to master, with a little practice outstanding captures of both hand written / keyboard texts plus audio. Superb Windows 10 companion interface to help with the organization of multiple files if need be.

I use this every day, but unfortunate when i tried to upgrade (audionote 1 bugged me to do “for free”) I now have an ad i have to try and hide during meetings and note taking times each day... something I don’t have time for when i need to type in the app. I’m often pressed for time during work and need to focus. I use the app for notes since the print is nice and bold ... anyway Generation one was a bit buggy but not as irritating as this (it crashed some (less recently, if ever) and sometimes is not intuitive when it switches away from typing for me but i learned the work around). THIS one has ads I can’t seem to turn off unless i pay $10 every time I turn around for the pro subscription... nope. I cant/won’t have a subscription i just want the app that works... and now that I’ve changed over it is hard to change back because i have started using this one for the notes i need.... the ads surprised me. I would have been fine with not free upfront... but I needed to know about the ads A side note to the developer. Please keep but improve “find” in the app to look for a partial word (i have to spell it out exactly including plural, if the word has that) also, it only finds one instance of the word. If i type in Bruce twice it will find the first one only Another point of feedback: I love the audio recording capability, but I daily use this app/ hardly “need” that feature. The feature i really use is the text, which is so clear and visible. Good job. I like the lined paper. Could we also have one a bit easier on the eyes, or more lined paper (just a “might as well ask”) and finally, i always had to add my own time stamps as i take a note.. i tried free pro to be sure I wasn’t being to hard on everyone.. I DO like that i can now have that feature. Thanks , and it does seem to add them during recordings or non so that is important for me.. I love that the app saves me time by adding the time of day, according to my device, for ANY new paragraph no matter if I’m recording or not. Professionals will love that. One a line below it, the current time of the recording could still display, if there is a recording. I see it is an either or right now. All in all, I might go back to the first generation for now but will be keeping an eye on this one.
I’d give it ZERO stars if I could. Disappointed.

Probably got eight hours trying to debug the install / uninstall / reinstall while working with tech-support sent half a dozen emails on the issue still does it work deleting now. Then get the developer that conveniently states it’s an Apple bug and they put in a bug fix request. Oh well, looking for a new app...

Great app, it does what it is supposed to do, allows you to do voice recording, and has a whole bunch of features that are really nice. Very easy to organize all your voice recording notes, which is very important to me, organization. You can title them and put them alphabetically, you can trim and edit notes, very helpful app…
Not Backward Compatible w Previous Versions

I really like AudioNote! Use it in almost every meeting I attend. Problem is I have A LOT of recordings in the previous version that Audio Note 2 won’t seem to access because they are on my phone directly not iCloud or Drop box. Could I move all of my existing file to Dropbox? Yes, but I’d like not to HAVE TO. Don’t see why it can’t just offer option to access folders on my phone as well. If I am wrong about this, would love to know how I can get it to work...then would change my rating to 5.,:)

I really like the app...I paid for Audionote 2 and I get the ads at the top that I can not turn off and that he s annoying. If I paid for it I should not have to see ads. I prefer the original without the annoying ads.
