Better than I ever imagined.

A great app for people with compromised vision. Lots of freebies as well as a nice selection of titles for purchase Took a little time to review the offerings of free and purchase books. The library of offerings is immense.

I purchased the app and a book for a trip. I waited as long as I could to get it to download the small book, (Miracles from Heaven) but it kept saying I didn't have enough space. This is strange since I'm a 50 yr old that doesn't play games, store videos etc and my iPhone is new. When I got to my destination I tried again and had my 25 yr old son look it over. He couldn't get it to download the book either, even after I deleted some apps & things. I downloaded Audible for the trip home and got the book right away and no issues. Don't know how to get my money back :( Maybe the app is too outdated for the newer iPhones? I don't know.

I have enjoyed so many classics (and some non-classics), that are gloriously entertaining. I love to read, consequently, most of the books I hear are books I have read, but the characters come alive again when I hear them in others voices, and they are free!! I highly recommend this site to those searching for wonderful "clean" "mind-food". I highly recommend, this to be your first choice.

There are no words to express the sheer joy I feel in having this wonderful reading of the entire deathbed edition of Leaves of Grass on my iPhone where I can listen to the Great American Bard anywhere and anytime. This is a treasure for which I am truly grateful. Thank you for this!

So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed the app. Downloads are quick, the recordings are clean and crisp and there are lots of great books to choose from.
Not as good as it claims

First of all, the interface looks very old, circa iPhone 3G/3GS. Search tool is not smart enough. I searched for authors and got irrelevant names in the results. Lastly, there are few ad links to some other fancy apps. It is a paid app, nonetheless.

I borrow many books from the library, audio downloads as well. This app, with the access to numerous public domain titles that have long wait check out lists at the library. Well, I can get these books from this App, download on my phone and listen away. Added to that - I don't need to be a slave to check out periods. Great app! Well worth the small charge.

I'm very pleased with this app. I've tried many different audiobook apps. This one is very stable. It accesses several differ catalogs which is nice. You can even access other audiobooks already installed on your device. ?
