Pause is so wonky

MTietje

The app is ok, but there is no rhyme or reason to the pause and restart. It doesn’t remember your position in the book well at all! Sometimes it reminds me back 5-10 minuets!

I love it but....

I have to take away two stars because it has issues when you pause it. It sometimes doesn’t remember where I’m at in the book. For example, I pause it at 2 min 32 sec. then press play. Then at 5 min 21 sec I pause it again. When I try to start playing again it will often go back to my previous pause point at 2:32. Very annoying.

SmartPause is not working. Please fix. Thx

Simple Audio Book app.

carterreece

Máté has taken a complex solution to other audio app developers and simplified for the individual that just wants to listen to their own audio book. Thanks for providing a simple solution, Máté.

Useless to me

Kubuchi Cabbage

I have plenty of books on my pc that I paid for. Having to pay to import more that one at a time is gross.

Awesome app

Nrconlon

This is exactly what I was looking for. Simple to use, a lot of playback speed options, and organized folders for my audio files. Thanks a lot! One thing it needs though is the ability to add more audio files once a book/folder is already created. You can delete some, and you can add to a book/folder before completing its creation, but I can’t find a way to add to a book/folder that’s already made.

Best App for Downloaded Audiobooks!

Rhuark029

I commute daily to work and have several audiobook series downloaded. For a while I had been streaming them off my personal server, but it lacked the ability to remember my playback position and chewed through my cellular data plan. I downloaded and tired several other MP3-type players, none had the ability to easily add my audiobook mp3 files, or save my playback position. Until I found the SmartBook app! It has been exactly what I was looking for. Adding books was incredibly easy, especially when I was able to do it from the computer remotely to my iOS device. The settings and navigation are simple to use and work really well. If you’re an audiobook fan, and need an app to play your saved MP3 files, I would highly recommend this app! On a side note: The developer really cares about the continued enhancement of the app. I personally emailed him inquiring about integration with Apples new ‘shortcut’ app and he replied quickly and expressed interest in hearing my suggestions! Highly recommend and hope you enjoy the app as much as I have!

Help!

Morcaunt

I like the idea of this app, but I’ve only just downloaded it and already there’s a problem. The pro version is supposed to be free (for a limited time?), but each time I hit the upgrade button, the load symbol whirs, disappears, and then nothing. I know I should be getting a dialogue box from the App Store to confirm what I’m doing even if I’m paying nothing, but it’s not there. And the only way off of the page is to cancel the upgrade. What gives? Also, this seems to be the only way to actually contact the developer. Clicking on App Support on the store page sends you to his blog page, not an e-mail destination. I’ll be very happy to change the review if these problems can be resolved. Thank you.

Where are the 11,000 free books?

Ima Noid

Claims to give access to 11,000 free books to download for the app to play, but there is zero way to access these. Go to import books, and it tells you to put your IP address into your browser and all will be revealed, but all you get is an error message that it cannot connect to the server. What a waste of time and app store space. At least it was free.

useless

erieguy

I tried downloading three books. All of them appeared to download successfully, but then I could do nothing with them except delete or re-order the chapters. There was no way to actually play the books.
