Doesn’t connect with my camera

Tadald

I was excited to finally receive my Arsenal. After numerous attempt I can’t get the app to connect to my camera. I even try the app on my Android phone and it still doesn’t work.

got my arsenal today

I had absolutely no problems downloading the app and installing the firmware update. To my surprise it all went quite smoothly with no issues. The arsenal was able to find the network and connect immediately and I was able to snap some pics right from the getgo. It’s a little slow and got caught up in a sequence loop that i couldn’t figure out how to get out of and waited for the cycle to end. But it seems like it will be a pretty cool little addition to my photography. As far as the delay in shipping, thats all part of the kickstarter experience. The way I see it is this is a huge undertaking and nothing goes the way you anticipate. Kudos to arsenal for a pretty cool idea and getting it this right. People need to understand this is still a work in progress and the refinement aspect of the software although fairly complete is still being fine tuned. I have no connection with arsenal but I do have experience with product development

Never stays connected. .

Continually disconnects and reconnects. Pretty useless. Nikon D850.

Eh.

I’ve gotta be honest, after an entire year of waiting and hyping this product, I really was expecting more. I’m a little underwhelmed with Arsenal’s interaction (or lack of) with my Canon — essentially the app renders the entire camera useless and you’re forced to only operate from the app itself. I’d much rather trial and error my own shots than sit watching my phone. I guess I just had higher hopes for this Kickstarter project. Additionally and admittedly, I need to spend more time with this, but after a full day of testing Arsenal, I’m not getting the shots their campaign promised (ie, the focusing feature only works half the time and the reason is unclear to me yet, the shots look very similar to anything you’d take without Arsenal). Will update this review if anything changes.

Doesn’t work with my Sony

Filbert9999

The Arsenal has been a waste of time and money so far. I’ll be requesting a refund if it’s not fixed soon. Pretty big Kickstarter disappointment......

App not working Product not working

Kingsransom2017

App connects to the camera for the a6000 The iPhone continues to search for Sony Camera even after its obvious that arsenal connected to the Sony Camera will update with a positive review once the app and product are in working order

Disconnects constantly

ralexandrovich

Pretty much useless. The app disconnects when attempting to focus or display the live preview, then connects again and so on. iPhone 6s, Nikon D600.

Nothing works!

Phil Leotardo12864

Waited over a year for this product and of course it doesn’t even connect with the camera straight out of the box. Firmware updates are useless and customer support is non-existent. Until this thing actually does what is advertised, stay away.

Scam.

MadManMonahan

I’ve been going around and around in circles with the support team at Arsenal who continue to send me support that says the same thing using different words. I wasted my money, don’t waste yours.

Awesome

The new update, 0.8.51, is really awesome. It works with A7Rlll flawlessly. Both in handheld mode and smart mode. Still has some minor bugs here and there but regarding the connectivity issues with A7Rlll has no longer there.
