The games good but 80% of it is just dialogue and story

Worth playing

Dazmien

I’m not f2p, but before I started spending the game still was kind and friendly as the content could be cleared with enough leveling and grinding. As a spender, the game has also treated me kindly, even as a gacha game, it has a great pity system for players to not fall too deep into a trap. Gameplay itself is strategic, fun to theory craft teams and put them to the test in levels, and definitely right down my alley. Will be playing this game for a long time, it’s got nice team-building aspects and nice level designs. Would recommend, both for the whales and f2ps out there.

Amazing game 10/10

TherealGalaxy

This game is lit. I’m addicted to this fame and it’s amazing! If you love collecting anime characters and using them to battle on your side against monsters then this is the game for you. I’d definitely recommend the game, this is one of the best games for mobile out there in my opinion

Promising, but unfulfilling

Aerrok

Overall, I like the concept of this game. And the gameplay itself is interesting and provides me with sufficient challenge, but some systems of the game, the xp system in particular, feel wholly unrewarding and unmotivating. I personally feel that the system of earning xp only through consumable items is just unsatisfying. Along with that, at times the menu feels weird or unintuitive to navigate. I do enjoy the tower defense aspect of the gameplay and would love to come back to this game later though.

Better than FGO

It'sFilthyFrank

It has a PITY RATE BREAKER. Amazing.

Great Game - I have some Ideas

Olrick Dingcong

Awesome game. I’m addicted. Highly recommended for people who are patient and like Gachas (For Ideas scroll down, I’ll put them at the bottom). I think for most people it’s either they like it A LOT or they don’t like it at all. Obviously I’m the former, and by far Arknights is one of my favorite gachas of all time. F2P or Pay to Win? It is completely F2P. Many complain about the sanity system. Honestly if you’re patient enough you can get through the game without paying a single cent. Those who complain are mostly people who love this game and want to play more. The thing about Arknights is that it’s completely PVE, so you aren’t put at a disadvantage if you are F2P. You can play at your own pace without being put down by players who pay money. You simply have to be patient and wait for sanity to recover. Story: The story is actually interesting for me personally. One of the first few games where I don’t skip the story. The setting they have set up is super unique and makes you love the operators/characters more. Gameplay: A mix between farming and strategy. Ultimately it is a tower defense-like game but using characters (or Operators) instead, to take out enemies or block them. You have to use your head in some scenarios and it makes you think, unlike some gachas where you just auto 100% of the time. Overall I love the gameplay, it’s a game for you if you love strategy and placements. Overall: Amazing game. The game is free, so it doesn’t hurt to try it out. The community is awesome as well, if you ever get confused about a mechanic there’s a lot of amazing you tubers (Tec Tone cough* cough*) and videos you can check out. The websites they have are super useful too and there are some discord’s out there for this game. IDEAS: This is for the developers or people curious about my ideas. Feel free to hear me out. A chat System: Maybe have a global chat system where people can talk to one another. I know the community is super active and supportive (There are many active Arknights discord servers) so having a chat system wouldn’t be a bad idea. People can brag about their operators, help each other out, and overall make the game more fun. It also gives people something to do while they wait for their sanity to recover. Guild or Alliance System: I really love the clues system they have implemented. But I believe you can take it a step further. Arknights should also add a guild or alliance system where members can chat and support one another. As well as other mechanics that benefit guild members in some way (Maybe doing things for the guild = rewards, that sort of system). Friendly Duels: I am NOT asking for PVP. KEEP THE GAME PVE. Do not make it pay to win. What I was thinking was that you pick a campaign mission, and then you can ask your friend to do the mission as well. Your friend would have to use the same operators you are using. That way you both do the mission and you both get to see how the other person did it. It might help people get through some difficult missions. Also the person can only ask a friend if they have that campaign unlocked already (so that it’s fair and no future spoiling). History/Lore Section: I Love the setting Arknights takes place in. A futuristic universe in which entire cities are forced to move in order to avoid dangerous calamities. The concept of infected and how they are treated as unequal. To better understand this universe the developers should add a history section where players can go to and learn more about this universe. During the loading screen it gives some background information about the infected and originium, but that info cannot be found within the game (Yes I know there’s a section where you can read about the operator’s story but there isn’t a section about the lore of the world or it’s histories). I wish the developers had an area where we can read more about the lore of the world itself Anyways if you’ve read everything and made it this far, thank you for reading. I hope this review helps and you should definitely give Arknights a try.

Maybe add the doctor as a operator/unit

?the_sleepy_panda?

Eh just a suggestion great game though

Really fun game.

I love the artwork and the gameplay is super fun. I like that each event is really easy to get the exclusive characters and outfits. The game itself is very challenging and you have to grind to get the skill items.

Terrible recruitment system and resource system

JackDanielsTheThird

I’ve been playing this for over a month and everyone around me is getting senior and top operator tags in recruitment and I haven’t seen a single one. I can understand top operator being rare, but why senior? Oh right because this game bins your choices into tiers, so most people that get a senior tag will probably get it with top operator and/or other rare tags. Among other annoyances is the practice system. What is the point of a practice system that doesn’t even tell you the layout you used? The point of practicing is to save resources, but there’s no point if it’s a literal waste of time because you get absolutely no statistics or analysis out of it. And speaking of resources, sanity is your usual pay to win resource limiter in this game. It’s much worse in this than other games. You’ll be lucky to run 6-8 top end maps a day. Lastly I seriously believe this game has rigged odds. People that I know that spend on it tend to get rare recruitment tags much more often, commensurate with how much they spend. For everyone else it truly is random. Very shady. Headhunting is terrible because the rate up in this game is so bad. You’re 50% likely to only get the featured operators for 5 star and above, otherwise you’re 50% likely to get a spook. And the 4 star rate up is even worse at only 20%. This is supposing you get past the fact that there is only a 2% chance of getting the lowest rarity to begin with. Just a terrible experience all around. Thankfully you can beat many maps with low rarity operators, but they’re aiming to change that, as later patches have made clear, adding in modes where you need higher rarity operatives. There are other issues but I’ll just leave it at that. I had some fun with this but it’s lately been overwritten by how annoyed I am with this disparity.

boring.

V-/\-V

everything about this game is tiring. not a single character ever caught my eye, the tower defense mechanics are uninspired, and the staggering amount of resources and items to micromanage on top of it all is too overwhelming and i just don’t care.
