This game was so good until...........

Etrch4

So I was a good player I had quite a ton of time spent in this game also I was in a guest account out of no where I just wanted to see what was account management was and when I tapped it in the login page I thought it was so you could bind accounts but no it was for a new account and I didn’t even bind my guest account so when I got the new account I played a little bit and then I went into the login page again went into account management and went into guest but I noticed that when I logged in it, it was the starting level and then I noticed that I lost all the progress and I even went and contacted arknights, I went into there discord I even got a call but it didn’t work and I thought again that I am not gonna commit anymore time into this game if they can get my account back then I can have a change in words but for now I literally was not able to play the urus event I didn't even know that ruined the game so much but maybe it was my fault if I am able to get my account back I will change it to a 4 star or 5 star and I’ll be happy And just like I said I got it back I'm so happy and thank the staff -Sirius- for helping me I will try not to make a dumb mistake like that again

Arknights is a fun game at first, but it gets really tedious to play very quickly. While it’s not something that I really mind, the biggest problem I’ve seen is the very long grind fest. Especially to those who have higher level characters. This is made even worse by the the low stamina system that only allows you to play 5-6 maps a day. I’m not really going to go into the gacha aspect, since any gacha game will receive hate from people who don’t the characters they want. My complaint is that it’s hard to get 5 and 6 stars at all, especially in the recruit system. On top of that you can’t use 1,2 or 3 stars because they can’t get powerful enough to take on later levels. This takes away from the strategic aspect of the game in that you have to use specific units on maps in order to win the level. You can also lose a level with operators who are 20, 30, or even 40 levels above the recommended level. So much so that many levels make the player feel cheated and many also incorporate enemies that require very specific operators to deal with them on an otherwise easy level. On top of that, many enemies have overly power abilities that make the level much harder than it needs to be, making the game become frustrating and anger inducing very quickly. While I can understand making levels challenging, the story should be able to be played by those who want to enjoy the story, like myself. On the positive side, I really like how each character is fleshed out and seems to be unique in their own way even if not directly in the story. For example, Shining and Nightingale are two of my few six stars and I really like their character designs and personalities. I also find the premise and story very interesting. I actually believe I would love this more if it was an anime. But I just don’t feel like Arknights is a game that is overly appealing anymore. It’s a game that is fun on the surface, but not as much later on. I just hope the developers become more friendly to people like me, who like the artwork, the characters, and the story, just as much as the gameplay. I don’t hate arknights or not recommend it. I would want someone to play the game and form thier own opinions.

Great

Armored Ace

The game is great, with an engrossing storyline. A storyline which somewhat correlates with real life events in a different manner. A F2P friendly game. The Gacha is decent. If you did not receive a 6* operator it compensates with a 5* operator from corresponding banner or any decent 5* operator. Do note that rarity does not often matter. Its their placement and capabilities that matter. Resource management is must for improving base facilities to promoting and levelling up your operators. The customer service is very entertaining and can answer your various queries in the in game customer service section. My only request is to have a >2X speed for games rather than at 2x speed. I noticed that on factory, upon obtaining some items (I.e.: EXP records and gold) the queue is often refilled to 99 when I only ordered 30 pieces of each item. Is this a bug or some thing else? That tends to cause fatigue to my assigned operators on the factory. Also on the trade post, when I tap it just to check the morale of my Ops in that post, the orders are collected. I dont want to collect them though. I want to accumulate them first and until they are full and collect them later on.

The bad... REAL BAD: - Insanely oppressive stamina system: stages are crazy expensive to play and farm compared to how much stamina you you get - Resources are scarce: many of the materials needed to upgrade anything have super low drop rates and it takes way too long to get the resources to craft those rare materials. - Characters take forever to upgrade: for a game that lends itself so much to experimenting with different teams, it seems so counterintuitive how many resources are needed to upgrade multiple characters to a usable point. The good: - Characters: all characters are unique and interesting in their gameplay, backstory and visual design. - Gameplay: the game is genuinely fun, albeit fairly frustrating with how absurdly difficult some stages can be. The game is fun... when you actually get to play it. Once you reach a certain point in the game, you’ll be stuck in an endless hate loop of farming hard-to-get resources, then using all of them to upgrade one character incrementally, then doing it over and over again. And btw, this is what the devs want. Because if you’re stuck farming, then you’re playing the game and could potentially spend money. It’s fine to try to make people spend money, but the devs have gone out of their way to make the economy of this game as torturous and life-sucking as possible. It is truly disgusting how the main goal of the game’s design is to delay your fun for as long as possible. There’s a lot of good to be found in Arknights, but I would still recommend anyone to stay away; the predatory tactics the developers use to encourage spending are just unforgivable.

4.5 out of 5

A pretty good f2p the auto-play is a little strange because when your units costs increase you typically have to redo the certain levels and get a 3 star victory again so it’s . Also some of the maps are are incredibly awkward or have enemy wave timing/placement that makes it extremely difficult to pass without grinding a few days.

Game is a great side game, just stop speeding up new hero banners

Characters have great design, gameplay is great if you love tower defense. It's not really demanding time wise. About 15-30 mins twice daily depending on what you farm. It's also really fun when you want to play during new events etc. However they recently sped up the rates in which new heroes are introduced. While new content is good, the sped up pace means you won't have enough time to save. It's still a great game and really f2p friendly as you can use low rarity ops to clear stages. Definitely try it.

To hard to level up
