The user experience is frustrating

Motiongrapherix

You buy the app. You have to choose demons which you assume would be given as a choice. However you have to type your own one and it keeps repeating you need to choose at least three demons without any hint(how should I know?). Immediately app takes you to another page that just switched the timer similar to pomodoro. The app has potential but not worked out properly.

What??

Cannot possibly be for adults

Basically a timer

You might as well open up the alarm app and set a timer for yourself or find one online because that's basically all this is. Used it for about 10 minutes and literally sat there questioning the purpose so now it's gone. A waste in my opinion, simply because it's not really what I expect out of a anti-procrastination app. It's too generic and offers a solution that can be easily found elsewhere without spending the money.

I finally understand it.

Queen of procrastinating

So when I first started using this application, I was confused on why I had to choose these demons, so didn't use this application at first. Then one day when I had to do college essay, I kept on procrastinating and making excuses to not do it. So I tried using the application because I was desperate to try to start on my essay. I wrote down on the task bar "write outline for essay" then I carefully read through the description of these demons. I noticed that I have lots of these metaphoric demons around me. In the cases of "writing the outline" I had the resourceless demon blocking me from doing this task! So I selected it. Then the application took me step by step to defeating this blocking demon! It asked me the necessary questions to figure out what the demon was blocking. Then, I realized that I was making this task bigger and more abstract then it had to be. If I don't have the resources where can I go to get them? I said to myself, "Hello! Wake up! Your assignment sheet gives you all the steps! Read it carefully and do not overthink it! If the answer is not there, I can ask my instructor a question or I can search for it on google." Bam! I just defeated my blocking demon for the first time! Now I am hooked on this application and I use it everyday so it can help me find and overcome my metaphoric blocking demon!

Would love to see real incentive

The choice to email someone or post on social media should happen IF the timer runs out. What's the point of sending someone a random email as a punishment if it just happens?

so helpful

Almost perfect!

First of all, definitely enjoying and using the app and have been abnormally productive, but there seems to be room for improvement. When you're done with a time segment, it makes a cute little blip noise, which I can barely hear in a quiet room, but my working environment is NOT quiet, and I like to play music on my phone while working. Can it vibrate or have more variety of alarm noises? I feel like I have to keep checking this app to see if I should move on to the next segment, which is kind of an ironic distraction. Also, it would be kind of nice to be able to keep track of the things you've done. I can understand if that's too much clutter for such a streamlined app, though. The 9 little demons are wonderfully broken down, and definitely make these looming deadlines a little less scary.

Time is precious

Good lord, this is pure genius. When you name your enemy it loses its power. Indeed! Kinda lifechanger, let’s see if it sticks long term. (using it for 3 weeks and works like charm)

Procrastination busted

Still the best APP of it's kind! If you value your precious time, get this app ASAP. You are welcome.

One of the few apps I use every day

Make no mistake, this is not a GTD app - yet it gets me get things done. How? The brilliant idea of using demon metaphores to help us face our block in my head is pure genius and works like charmr. Been a fan for 2 years, using it daily, and by fixing the other reward bug, it just became a truly perfect little app.
