Awesome

This app is so great!!! I seriously love it so much! Its simplicity and general design are really awesome and creative/unique. I was looking for apps to help with my severe procrastination issues, and a lot of other apps generally aren't as exciting or are too technical and detailed and rigid and don't have appeal to actually use them for more than a day for people like me who like to be as artistic and spontaneous as possible. I love the monsters, that's a super great idea, and they are totally accurate with the different obstacles towards doing things/being productive they represent, basically the reaction "oh it's not just me what?!!". I like the 5 minute start thing, really great for people like me who can never actually begin anything. Generally the simplicity of it too is exactly perfect for me. I really love it!

It’s great

Used it yesterday. It’s like a more fun version of pomodoro which is sometimes what you need. One thing it could use though is an API structure to collect the data about your demons and feed it back to you or so that you could pipe it to another app for visualization. Gamification is a great idea but half of how it works is so that you can chart your progress against past performance or other people’s.

Great, but...

I really like this app because it's effective helps me complete tasks. However, if I quit the app and go back later, it makes me put in the whole task all over again. I would love it if it could save the task data or something, because I can't complete most of my tasks in one sitting. :/

Simple, awesome time management app

Love the simplicity of the app. It really does help me focus and get assignments done.

Amazing

This lightweight app spared me hours of oherwise procrastinated time. Already paid back it price tenfold. The cool idea of using the demon analogy would worth the 2 bucks but it's actually useful!

First strange but then hooked

At first I didn't really understand it but after a few sessions it totally changed how I start my workflow. Incredibly simple and clever, now part of my gtd toolbox

Pretty Solid

Fffffffffi

If it even helps a little, it's worth the $2.99. $2.99 doesn't even buy a sandwich, so getting multiple important tasks done more effectively and efficiently for that price is amazing. People seem to have a different set of spending rules when considering apps.

Amazing! ?

I have had this app on my wish list for about a year... The only reason I was hesitating was because it was $3. However, I have basically looked at all of the productivity apps in the App Store and none of them have anything quite as unique and motivating as what this app looked like it had to offer. Also, one of the previous reviews mentioned that you can barely get a sandwich for $3, which really put this whole purchase into perspective ? (thank you very much, stranger!) Now I'm so happy I finally decided to buy this app. It is now my most frequently used app and it helps me so much! I had 6 summer assignments to do and I hadn't started any of them yet - and it's already August. However by using this app, I started to work on them more and more and in about a week I'm already half way done. This app really helps putting things into perspective with all of the different demons. I've seen a couple people saying that the prompts are the same over and over again and it gets boring, however with each different task you have the answers to the prompts can be different, so I think it's fine and works perfectly. Arise really makes you think of what's most important, and what you could lose by not completely your task on time. Not only does it actually help, but the entire interface is absolutely gorgeous. The demons all look quite accurate as to what you would imagine they would for each of the obstacles, and the color scheme is bright and looks wonderful. Also, all of the animations are beautiful. 11/10 would recommend this app to anyone and everyone!

Brilliant!

This app is truly amazing and is the only app I've ever used that was life changing. I would pay good money to get it updated for the iPhone+ and Apple TV. Please!!! What would we have to do to get you to do this?

Confused

I do not understand how this app work it only gives me two options, to select a demon, or go straight to a timer. When I select a demon it then just goes to a timer. When I click on setting.... it just brings me to a third timer. I have looked for web support, or instructions, but there are none. This app is a glorified timer.
