Arduous

Good app but lacking in bug fixes for a year now. In-app searches often return "Error" with an exclamation point inside a triangle. Not being able to search for apps to track renders this app nearly useless.

Abandoned by the developer.

Back in the days of AppZapp Pro, the app worked. Now, this version is total garbage. Search doesn't work at all. Alerts don't work right. There's no iPad version. It doesn't work in landscape mode. Requests to support have gone ignored, or worse, resulted in copy/pasted replies that make me question whether the folks on the other end speak English. (I'm not judging for speaking other languages--I'm judging for localizing the app for a language in which you can't provide competent support.) Since these problems appear to be persistent, I've lost hope that they will be solved. This is very unfortunate because this was the tool that I invested hours in keeping track of apps that I had already tried. I feel betrayed.

Comically bad

This thing here

Wow. So this is what we are left with. With App Shopper being dropped from the App Store we now how this to deal with. In theory you can add apps to get updates on pricing. In reality there are three MASSIVE problems: 1) feature bloat: so many weird precarious things added to this app that it’s nearly impossible to figure out what you want to do or what it does precisely. I hate Apple’s constant culling of features in the name of “clean interface” but this is the dark timeline of what happens when no one asks “what do people use this app for?” 2) Absolutely inexcusable brokenness of the “app alert” feature. Say you want to start following a new app to see when the price dips. LITERALLY when you search for the app, only 1/7 times does the search function not result in an error screen. So that means you need to re-attempt the same basic search function over and over again until you finally get a list of results 3) A bizarre inability to remove apps from the app alert feature. So, imagine a world in which you want to know when an app’s price drops. And then it drops. And then you buy it. Surely you’d want to drop that app from AppZap’s list because, goodness knows, you’re done with any need for any external reminders about it. But no. It’s on your list for good. You can turn off reminders, but it will always be on your list of apps you want alerts for. Why? Why not make a simple “slide to the left it offer a red remove button” feature? Who knows. The app is still useful insofar as it is an app that will ultimately tell you about price drops if you’re lucky enough to be able to add it to your alerts without 20+ error messages. But it is the most fragile, broken, enraging way to accomplish this simple feature, with buckets of useless social features and nonsense cluttering it up.

I can’t log into my account on my iPhone X. Also every time I search for an app or game it shows “error”. I hope this bug will be fixed soon and then I will change the ratings. Thanks!

Ugly but Useful

Best app of its kind for tacking apps in a wishlist. I use Workflow to add apps straight from the AppStore.

PLEASE UPDATE!

Two years. That’s how long ago the app was updated. Now, with an iPhone X and iOS 11, the HD app no longer works on my iPad, and the phone version doesn’t fit my phone’s screen. I love this app so much, I would pay for it. If only the developers would make it, or at least update what they have.
