UI still needs to be fixed
Mattmcg in Ca

3/30/18 updated review. The recent updates solved the calc issues that plagued this app (Yay!) but the UI still need work. On an iPhone 7 Plus, the font size in the rifle and load selection pages is too large and jumbles the text to display too many “...”. Fix the fonts and would easily make this a 4 star + app.

Do not get for iPad at this time
AjaxtheDog

I love the app, this is my go to ballistic solver. It is a bit more unfriendly than some easier to use apps. I use it on my iPhone with no problem however when I try and use it on my IPad (which would be preferred) the screens do not format properly. For an app of this price, from an outfit as prestigious as AB, it should at least be coded correctly

Will not read kestrel 5500
Wweverett

Love the app but I have to manually enter the weather from my kestrel 5500. StrelokPro pro loads it very fast. Pretty disappointing for 30 bucks. Absolutely no info in the web to solve this issue. All you get is info about the 5700. Save your money and get StrelokPro or even ballisticsarc.

Not impressed with interface

Compared to the android version the iOS one is horrible.. There doesn't seems to be support for larger screen iPhone like the iPhone x. When using CMD charts everything is crammed together unlike on Android. Can development please advise when this will be fixed and when support will be built in for the iPhoneX? There is already a new generation iPhone on the way and you still don't support the current version? For the price you pay and for something that litz gave his stamp of approval I expected more. Also try and reply to reviewers, your rating on this app is terrible..

No Kestrel Support
C.Arch

Hard to believe that of all the ballistic apps available for iOS (BallisticAE, StrelokPro, BallisticARC, Hornady 4DOF) that the AB Ballistics app still doesn’t support weather from ANY type of handheld meter. The only capability is to get weather data from the nearest weather station which is often times nowhere near correct to your actual shooting conditions. An otherwise OK app, nice to have access to the CDM’s for bullets. Unfortunately I can not recommend this until they support SOME type of weather meter support (Kestrel / Weatherflow) like they do on Android.

It works.. on an iPhone
Pat_Monster

Works great once you set it up correctly, could use a the updated reticules from vortex and a patch for use on an iPad... seriously make a patch for the iPad mini and it would be 100% and get s 5 star review from me

Special forces sniper approved!!
8541 will

This app is advanced for shooters looking to make sub MOA hits at 600 plus yards. This app will only link with the proper AB kestrel. Also, common sense applies with apps. If you update and have crashes you need to delete and reinstall just like any program on windows or apple.... it’s Operating system problems. Every competent special forces sniper has this app as his go-to. Todd has always supplied SOCOM with the best hardware and software for a special forces sniper. He’s personally taken calls from me needing answers for taking 2,000 yard plus shots. I have ballistic AE as well. It’s good generally and has good info but I don’t think the developer is a long range shooter. AB is designed by shooters. There’s a difference in thought process of setting up rifle and kestrel and your ballistics app that makes a same always close the the other apps and return to this for proper data.

No backup
Hollowpt

Not having your data backed up when you get a different phone, is a huge bummer.

Perfect fire solution
Dragraceappsucks

I purchased this app and custom drag profile for my bullet. After having to fudge the muzzle velocities and ballistic coefficients to make other calculators somewhat match reality, this app came up with the real world 1000 yard firing solution the first time around without altering any numbers to reach that corrected solution. It may seem pricey for an app, but I consider this an absolute steal for what you get and about the most useful app one could hope for.

Great author; program in iphone/ipad pretty sorry
HarryW4

It is very easy to lose your data. Ridiculous. Does not update from iPhone to iPad. Strike two. There are issues on the iPad display regarding the drop charts (which sometimes present as a garbled mess, with numbers appearing on top of other numbers). The column headers are not even placed over the appropriate columns at times, making it slmost impossible to use them. Sorry developers I guess. I wish I knew and appreciated all these issues with the AB App before I got it. There really is no excuse for any of these things. It does work, though. YMMV of course.
