Almost started taking part. Needs a Page Back option.

Only two stars because I never really got going. The sign up process needs a Page Back option. I finally got notified that I could participate and started providing info. I saw a screen about access to camera and microphone but accidentally blew past that screen without reading the whole page. My only option was to give it access or Cancel. I clicked Cancel hoping it would let me start over so I could read everything. Instead I get the screen saying I’ll be contacted when they’re ready for me to participate. I’ll hope I won’t have to wait a few more months.

This only gets ONE STAR

I’m very disappointed Apple! I downloaded the app WEEKS ago, waited, waited, waited some more, and still nothing, so I deleted it, downloaded it again, another week goes by, STILL NOTHING! I expected much better from you Apple! Fix the app and waiting problem for all of us waiting on a better app and I maybe, just maybe will give this 5 stars, but until then you get 1 star.

No work

App can’t handle 2 participants with same Apple ID

I looked forward to joining the Apple Heart Study. So when the app became available I immediately installed and ran it. After answering a couple basic questions, my participation request was sent and I got the “Notification Requested” screen. Fine. A few days later, I was told that my application was accepted and it let me get past that screen. Just around that time, my wife - whose iPhone is on the same Apple ID as mine - also decided to participate. But once she did and got accepted, the next time I started the app, I was back to the “Notification Requested” screen. I waited about a month, but the app never let me get beyond that screen.

Not iPad compatible

If this app is not available for the iPad, why does apple make it available for repeated failed updates?

Excited to start this research study! I was born with a Congenital Heart Defect called Transportation of the Great Arteries. I live a fairly normal life, but from time to time, i do have some irregularities. I’m 28 and have had 5 corrective surgeries! Glad to be part of such an amazing study!

And still waiting

TheyCallMeTrouble

I was really looking forward to this app and helping advance medical monitoring from wearable smart devices. Alas, since roll out I have been stuck waiting on notification. It seems Apple is cherry picking the people they want to stack the deck for their desired results to pick up Federal backing for their future ad campaigns. A shame, really.

Stop complaining it’s taking too long

“Oh nooo why hasn’t the study started? how dare they waste my seconds of time downloading it?!” Look, I highly doubt that they are accepting every single person trying to be part of the study. They opened it to the public to apply, but that wasn’t a promise you’ll get in. My app says I am registered and I will receive a notification “when the study is ready” for me to participate. Maybe everyone will have only a few weeks a piece in the study and they’ll change out for new participants. That could mean that others have started the study before us and we will be in the next shift. None of us know how this is supposed to work...which is how a study is supposed to be to get the best data. Stop complaining. It’s not a contest. It’s a study developed by Stanford Medicine and Apple that could be very important in future heart health education. Be patient!

Perhaps I don’t meet their demographic

I downloaded the Heart Study app the second day it was available. I am still waiting for notification that I am participating. I am healthy and have a normal weight, but perhaps my age is excluding me from their study (60). I don’t know why else they wouldn’t enroll me, unless they have all the subjects they need. If that is the case, they should state that in the app page. I will re-rate the app if/when I am enrolled.
