I made a mistake of trying to organize all my PDFs in Books. Which I did. And then iOS 15 came along. Wiped out all my collections. Worst part is you can’t do a search by name in PDFs to retrieve specific PDFs. Amateur app.

Crashes all the time after updating to IOS15

This used to be a very good app. After updating to IOS 15, it crashes all the time. I also dislike intensely how difficult it has become to create a PDF of information on a website. Update 11/15/21: this app is now completely useless! It crashes constantly! I cannot open anything for longer than a few seconds before it crashes. C’mon Apple, you can do better than this! Once again stung by an “upgrade” - which usually turns out to be a degrade. Update 1/17/22: the documents are now totally disorganized and I can see no way to force it to organize them. Listing by recent does not work right at all. Recent files may be sprinkled way down in the group. I used to be able to rely on this app & loved it. Used it for tons of files! Now it is disorganized and still crashes!

No support page. Downloaded my first book that said it came with pdf and the pdf didn't show up. Couldn’t find purchases with pricing once purchased so if I were to continue using this app it would be hard to see how much I’ve spent.

The books icon has disappeared from my screen- although when I go thru the apps store all of my info is still there- how do I get the icon back? There is NO support on the support page- so frustrating!

Agatha Christie, in the novel “The Murder of Roger Ackroid”, included several diagrams. These are absent when I downloaded the version offered by Books. Incidentally, Kindle doesn’t have that either. This novel has a surprise twist and has been promoted as the best mystery novel ever. Guess I’m reading a paper version.
Cannot send pdf from email

I used to be able to send a pdf file from iBooks via email. Now the signature panel prints me to scan email address . It will populate an email from my address book to the signature line but the signature disappears and does not send the email.

Are use the book app every single day. I read my books on my phone using the Books app. I love it because I always have my book with me wherever I go. This has been going on for over 20 years with me and the books app. However, there is one part of reading a book that is very irritating. I only read books for pleasure I do not need the editing features. So I am constantly having to erase the highlights because my fingers touch the screen too long often or I press to hard to move the page. Is there anyway that Apple could add a feature that would allow a person to turn off the editing feature all together? It would make the Books app even more pleasurable to use. I would also like to complement the filing feature within the app especially when I read books in a series. It keeps up with what I’ve already read and which book in the series comes next. That is a wonderful part of the Books app since I have almost 200 books out in my Books file. So thank you for the Books app and please at sometime in the future that minor change would be very much appreciated.
