Great app

Love this app! It's threat if you're looking for a place to live. Shows you what's around places you're interested in. Love it.

Does what it needs to do with no fuss.

Great option for looking for apartments in walkable neighborhoods. One star deducted because important things like traffic speed, roadway width, sidewalk width, crosswalk density, crosswalk signal wait times are not taken into account. I live in a walkscore of 98 in Miami but it feels more like a 75 compared with other cities.

Apartments and Rentals by Walkscore

Apartments and Rentals by Walkscore is a great alternative to have to the more regular mainline real estate applications people are most likely to use. This app provides a unique specific duty and that is to show the walking distance between a property and places people will most likely commute to such as work, school, restaurants and more. The app does a good job of providing a measurement to determine how convenient a place is for walking and that is the Walkscore that goes from 0 to 100. The app works like a regular real estate application where you put in a location and from there you will see a list or map of available properties and along with the usual data of rental price, rooms, image gallery etc. More importantly you will also see the Walkscore and a list of nearby businesses and services where the exact miles distance is given. I tested the app on my neighborhood and the distance between my place and all the nearby businesses, school and transportation options were listed correctly. In a day and age where more and more people would rather live in a place where they do not have to rely on owning vehicles, and be within walking distance to the places they travel to or visit often, this app makes the weeding out process much easier.

Darling! Please Add 'KEYWORDS' to Searches!

listenupgoob

My dearest WalkScore, you would be ssso perfect if only you allowed for keywords and custom searches. You recall that you found us our perfectly wonderful loft in Portland and we have totally loved it. However, now we're moving to one of 4 cities across the U.S. and our criteria include 'garage' and 'fireplace'. But sifting through the thousands of places you (thankfully) list in Cambridge and D.C. alone is taking all my time, so please add advanced search options and keywords, Sweetheart... Don't make me turn to Trulia or HotPads... Love, On the Move Again

Found our next place!

We're moving long distance this summer, and we found the perfect place on Walk Score!

Inconsistent with website. Stupid

My wife pulls a walkscore using a browser. I used this app. The scores are not the same and often not close.

Great concept but terrible execution

Living in a walkable community adds quality to life - visiting neighbors, and health benefits of walking. But this app applies walk scores to entire cities that vary greatly, some areas within the city may be miles from the nearest commercial convenience, or miles to the nearest school. Users of app need to be able to add emphasis to what they feel is important to be able to walk to: schools vs coffee for instance. Add information as to exiting sidewalks or not in the area, and up the score if sidewalks exist that go all the way to the public convenience or establishment (same for bike trails). No option exists to narrow down to neighborhoods and subdivision names. This requires public records searches by web developers but would make app better and far more usable. Finally, why'd the the affiliation with just rental apartments? We are house shopping and using the app. Please get licensed to link to website like Zillow.com.

Improve the Features

Expand the experience on the Table app to have the same options such as PC/ laptop versions - "Gonna to Have " feature is so helpful

Good for travel

I travel the US often and this app has helped me discover new businesses and decide where I should visit. Quite useful.
