Walkscore is full of scammers trying to get money from you as a deposit to “save” an apartment building without allowing you to see the unit beforehand. This isn’t a problem with any other housing apps I’ve ever used (Trulia, Zillow, Apartments.com), so clearly walkscore has an awful vetting process or something else is wrong with their process. It is also horribly annoying how after you send one email about a place it suggests you send a bunch to other “similar” places and it is so easy to accidentally hit send to this and get a ton of unwanted responses from apartments you have no interest in. Usually these places have way more bedrooms than what I was looking for and are also significantly more money. Let me send the requests to the places I want without sending more for me.

I don’t write reviews often but I’ve used this app for a few years now and feel it deserves one. Walk Score makes apartment hunting in Boston a lot easier because I can see if Grocery Stores, public transportation, a CVS, etc are close by. Makes not having a car very easy.
Please add crime grade to the app

So I liked the walk score website because you could see how long it would take to walk to stuff near you, but it seems they got ride of that feature and make you get an app... that doesn't have that feature. So it just seems like this is a weaker version of yelp or google maps.
Not polished but a true gem if you love not using a car

It's not perfect but it is great for finding good neighborhoods/housing. Some bugs and dumb options...like a popup suggesting I download the app cause it's "really fast". Um I'm using the app. Smh.

How do you use this! I don't see where you input data when seeking apt. rental? All I get is my neighborhood???
Commute feature is amazing

For someone looking at moving across the country to a new city, the commute time feature is a life saver! Not knowing for sure how far out you can go while still traveling for a reasonable amount of time can make other app searches really frustrating, but this app focuses on the things that are most important, like walkability, pet friendliness, and distance from work, while still allowing you to adjust for bedrooms, bathrooms, and price. I like the features other apps have like the crime map on Trulia or the school ratings on Trulia and Zillow, but this app makes it really easy to find listing that fit the basics and then we can go from there to check the crime and school ratings later. Definitely recommend.
