Good idea, bad app

Annalynnash

I had one amenity I want, in unit w/d. Every unit it said “had everything” did NOT have in unit. Didn’t find a single no luxury building on there, and you can’t just look at a map either. Also didn’t listen to my location preferences and it sent me apartments up to 15 miles away from where I want to be. Not a good app.

It has potential to be way better

Hoshi is my sidekick

I am not certain why if I put in my price range and location preference , I’m shown apartments 30 minutes away from where I want to move and at least 2-300 out of the price range I specified. It also doesn’t seem to understand how to incorporate nearby areas

Stupid

Monkeysweeper

What’s with the Tinder crap? I don’t want to rub crotches with a potential living space, I want a list of places in the locations I specified. This is stupid.

Has Potential

There’s potential for a great and useful app here. But man, if your initial filter doesn’t return anything, the “best matches” outside of it are absolute garbage. While I can see the use of looking at places that are maybe a bit further then your initial search, why are you showing places with 1000$+ differences in rent. If I was willing to pay that much in rent, I wouldn’t have set the cap where it is. The “broadened” scope ones really need another pass for reasonability on what and where they suggest (even if the answer is there isn’t anything for you to show)

Listings Not Verified

Sgt. OBSESSED

this app is convenient and easy to use and all, but at times it seems like a fancier Craigslist ad. I’ve encountered a handful of “listings” that are fake, ridiculously low prices, and photos of rentals that are not currently on the market. I’ve done a search of rentals shown on here, and they’ll come up as sold properties, or with completely different leasing agencies, kind of like on Craigslist. I haven’t had any luck finding a place while using it, but not for lack of options. The only thing I would say is if you see a listing you’re interested in, it would normally be listed on more than one rental site (Zillow, HotPads, apartments.com, etc). Check for that, because there’s no way to verify these listings are legit using this app.

Amenities

The Apartment List doesn’t allow you to choose more amenities, like walk-in showers, and first floor apartments for the disabled.

Too many expensive apartments

seahawks97

They have you put in your max budget but somehow they’re still showing me apartments that are $500 more than that? The app says it’s a little outside my budget. No, it’s so far over my budget. That’s all they show me. At first I figured it was because there’s nothing available in my price range. A quick google search showed dozens of options in my price range. This app is a waste of time.

Can’t change location

mjm725410

This is a super important feature to have but when you try and change locations, the app freezes / crashes. Please fix this!

Easy app to use!

I am looking to move from Missouri and this app seems to be very easy to use. I am a new user and this is working just fine

Cant get past the 2nd entry section, the adding my information. Just resets back to the welcome page, then app won’t work at all after this point.
