I want to like it

I like the fact that many topics are covered like Weather and sports. But the sports and some other information are woefully outdated, the app says it’s updated hourly but the sports was over a month old. That’s not useful.

Many of your independent reporters add irrelevant lines to their stories in an effort to bash Trump or opponents of liberal political views. A good editor would delete irrelevant text.

Truly unbiased and accurate reporting

Newspapers and their modern-day equivalents have frequently been tilted in one direction or another depending on the political and business interests of their owners. Today, especially, many sources of “news” are so biased and spread so much misinformation that it is hard to know whom to trust. I looked up a site that mapped various sources in terms of both accuracy on one axis and political leanings on the other. The AP came out on top in accuracy and squarely in the middle on political bias. So I turn to this app daily to get information I can believe.
Annoying and redundant organization of articles

On my phone I see the first few articles on the first page, each with a photo and a brief summary. I like this arrangement. Then the rest of the articles are listed with a title only, grouped in various categories. Many articles appear in multiple categories. This is annoying. I prefer the format of the initial section that gives enough info for me to better determine whether to click on the article. When I get to the categorized section, I exit and switch to the Apple news app or some other news app.
Real news

I like the selection of articles; you print real news not fluff. On line apps are my source of information for what is going on in the world and I trust your information. I also use Reuters for a European view of the US. Thank you. One complaint, the app often shuts down unexpectedly. Annoying, but not deadly
Crashing still

Still crashes instantly. Fix it. At least it crashes faster now. How much longer AP? Hello? You there? Um, still no. Upgrade doesn’t work yet again. Fix it. Not losing settings by delete/reinstall method. Upgrade needs to work. Why are you not responding AP? Still no working update? How much longer? I see ZERO reviews that say the new update works. Don’t respond with the copy/paste about a small percentage of users. It’s a lie. The splash screen should be dark if the phone is in dark mode. This is the only app with a bright white splash screen. Also, the settings to increase font sizes don’t work for image captions. The text is too small to read. Any chance someone can fix that?
