It works but very basic.

For those who have trouble connecting to your tv just go into settings>apps and find android tv remote service and clear the data. Reboot and you should be able to connect. Works well after that point. Would give 5 stars but doesn’t have an option to power on/off device from app.

Works great with a Android phone, not so much with my IPhone.. It connected the 1st time, but will time out and when it refreshes it’s not able to find/ locate device? I updated software and uninstalled and reinstalled app but still not able to find/ locate?.. Android phone stays connected and has never timed out yet, but it’s only been a day but seems to work great..

It was great at first but now it can’t even connect to my NVIDIA shield. It still shows it as a option but will never connect. I wish it would work but just because of this I’m buying an Apple TV 4K sooo. Google you should really put as much effort as you do in all your apps you provide on iOS. As a previous android user your services were the best part of android. It would be great to see the same amount of support on iOS. Only wiring this review after months of disappointment.

Text entry from my iPhone XS via typing or pasting enters 2 characters on the Shield for every 1 entered. Completely useless. Now I have to click though every character on the on-screen keyboard with the remote. Com'on Google you're better than this sloppiness. ?
