Great App!

I appreciate the convenience of an app to work on my family tree. There are a few glitches, but all in all, I love it!
Large File Issue

I tried to open a really large file (50,000+ names) and now I can’t access anything because the app tries to launch that file whenever I select the app. I don’t see an override and I can’t run my phone long enough to get past the download. Perhaps Ancestry could use the Applications page to store a roster of the customer’s Ancestry trees so the customer could pick which tree to auto launch? For the time being I can’t use the app.

Access to the prime sources digitally is great, and it’s super easy to set up family trees. The hard part is stopping.
Helped me find out who I am and to help others

Ancestry.com helped me discover so many details of the past; enabling me to really see reasons for my family’s ways. I was able to help my 87 year old aunt who was removed from her home at five years of age. She thought for over 80 years that she must have been “a bad girl” to be put in foster care. By digging into our mutual past, I found that her mother grew up in an orphanage due to the untimely death of her mother in 1897. When things got financially rough in the 1930s my aunt’s parents put her and her brother in the foster care system. My aunt was so relieved to know that she was not at fault. An 80 year long burden was lifted off of her shoulders!

I really enjoy the simplicity of this app. I do however wish it would let me get my messages from the app. Maybe some day! :)

Easy to use on my iphone or desktop computer. All the information arranged in a very intuitive manner. Fast edits or additions. Five (or more) generations of my family at my fingertips and growing. Thanks
