Very Disappointed

aintjoemama

Just purchased today, looked through the pics where it advertises 'works with any guitar adapter" well I wrongly assumed it would work with my audio interface Presonus iAudio Two. Well .....It registers as USB input but no sound. All of the other effects apps I have work so this ended up being a waste of my money. And also the advertisement to buy the iApp purchase keeps popping up upon start but I have already purchased. $49.99 gone.

Why is this app unsupported?

Tony In Carmel

I recently purchased the $49.99 package of all amps and pedals. I have been unable to restore that purchase on my new iPad as it seems everyone else here. This is outrageous. All applications have bugs, but to receive no communication back whatsoever from their support is no different than having no support at all. If Agile does not straighten this out soon I would be happy to join a class action lawsuit against them and Apple as well for their crappy quality control. They should be validating that their vendors are providing the deliverables that they are promising to deliver. For a company named Agile they are showing no agility. Whether they realize it or not, Agile is committing fraud with each passing day that they do not bring these problems to resolution. Some people on here registered complaints seven months ago. Have they been resolved? Mine haven't. I've already contacted them by email three times without a response or even an acknowledgment that they received the email. I hope the Apple Corporation understands that this undermines the credibility and authority of the App Store.

Peavy

I read somewhere a while back that Peavy was going out of business. Haven't heard about it since. Maybe that explains your difficulties. Maybe you can find out.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING!!!

cocopunk1486

Not worth it to buy any gear. The preloaded stuff is good for basics and if you're a beginner. I used this for years, and when I got a new phone and tried to restore my previous purchases (mostly pedals and one amp) it didn't work. Tried to load the app on my iPad and that didn't work either. I was finally able to get everything back on my phone but the headache wasn't really worth it. Bottom line, purchases are hard to restore. If you're in the market for an average amp with easy features and relatively simple interface this is your go to. Another important note, feedback and noise filters on this aren't very good. Sometimes they just stop working if I'm playing for too long. At first I thought maybe my guitar wasn't grounded but no it was the app.

Not the best app in the world

Cas13axman

Not great

Worked a couple days ago but doesn't now...

The app can hear my guitar but I can't hear it in my headphones. The app is completely useless if it can't do this one basic function.

Took my money - Can’t restore purchases

Piper70

Unable to restore my in-app purchases. Money gone for nothing. User beware.

Decent

The sounds you get currently are really good. Alas, the display is screwed up with the amplifier knobs in the way wrong spots. Plus they haven’t actually added any new gear in I don’t know how long.

Finally an UPDATE!

I’m still using this app after so many years and it’s still working smoothly with iPhone7+ and latest iOS. I’m connecting my guitar thru AmpKit LiNK HD The effects sounds realistic just connect it to decent headphones or amp to fully enjoy! I hope Agile Partners will be active in supporting and developing this app because it’s a very good app. Also they should create a script that will automatically convert the regular AmpKit to AmpKit+ if the AmpKit+ Bundle Upgrade has been purchased.

The most underrated amp sim on iOS, probably the best too...

JRSIV1975

I have purchased all of the major iPad amp apps with full upgrades, getting all in app purchases. These include: Amplitube gets a lot of attention online because of the name brand amp models but it sounds very thin and noisy, taking a long time editing and trial & error to get some decent tones. JamUpPro/BIAS is better but the expansions are pricey and the higher gain amps and some clean tones are still noisy. Yanoc's ToneStack is like AmpKit, very underrated, sounds are quite good but the layout is a bit difficult to use quickly. Now Ampkit, Peavey & Agiles app, is the most like playing with an amp, and the sounds are really good. The clean tones have nice sheen and tube sag when you dig in, the dirty tones are very tube like and even the high gain models (the usual shortcoming of amp emulators) aren't too noisy or fizzy to use. My favs are the Bassman model, the Vox AC30 model that breaks up nice with volume control roll up and lastly the HiWatt amp is sweet, using a Strat and neck pickup position produced some excellent lead tones straight from Cream era Clapton's playbook. Very nice job by the developers and worth every cent to upgrade to get everything, the stomp models are excellent too. UPDATE AFTER V. 2.3: It appears Agiles licensing term with Peavey has expired, leading to the Peavey amps being renamed, but that in no way compromises the sound quality of this app. 2 years later and it’s still a favorite of mine. True, some apps do certain sounds & amp emulations better, but AmpKit does something’s better than those apps. With the cost of the Everything Bundle not coming close to half of what a decent overdrive pedal costs, this app is a bargain & should be owned by every guitarist who uses an iPad.
