What the heck?

A long time Amazon prime member I was anxious to try Amazon prime now. I downloaded the program just spent 30 minutes browsing and adding a whole bunch of things into the cart, went into the cart and started changing a few quantities and all of a sudden my cart completely emptied out. What a waste of time. Fix it.

Well there is no doubt that this service works. Will it take over your instore grocery buying habit- probably not. I recently checked this service to see whether it works as advertised. I used 2 hr delivery and I placed order for aaa lithium 34 pack batteries, seedless grapes, danimals yoghurt smoothies at around 1:40 pm on Thursday and I received these at 3:00 pm. My red seedless grapes arrived in nice packaging but they were tasteless . Other items were to my satisfaction . Conclusion - u cannot replace the things that u feel and even taste in grocery shops with this service-- like tasting a grape to make sure the package is sweet, making sure tomatoes are ripe but not too ripe, picking a bread pack or yoghurt which has the farthest expiration date or freshest. You get the point. For everything else it is great

The concept is great, but this service isn't what it could be. I work a very busy schedule and getting to the grocery store is difficult. I didn't mind paying a little more for items or paying for the tip that Amazon suggests for the delivery, as it is so hard for me to get to a store. I have placed 5 grocery delivery orders so far, all from the same store. The first 2 times I received text messages letting me know certain items in my order were not in stock, despite being available via the app, and I was offered substitutions. Great! The last 3 times the deliveries have arrived with a number of items missing that I ordered. No text was received and no substitutions were offered. Again, these missing items were available in the app but apparently either excluded from my order or not really available to begin with. The most annoying part is that all 3 times at least one of the items was the main protein(s) of the meals that were missing, meals that I had planned out for the next few days. I was left with a lot of produce/sides and nothing to make for the entree. That defeated the whole point of ordering, as I still had to go to the store each time. I wouldn't recommend using this app unless you plan on having to go to the store anyway, which is cheaper to begin with. Amazon you really need to work on your notification and inventory syncing with your app and orders!
Decent app -- needs more functionality

Let me start off by saying that I placed my order and waited until 3 minutes before the delivery window closed to find out it was cancelled. A refund was issued but no explanation was given. Apparently the driver had technical difficulties using the app, never called, and just cancelled the order. As for the app--good general features but I wish you could filter and sort by restaurant rating.

I love this so much! Even though I wish they had a little more selection. Very convenient and the prices are the same as a regular store in my area
Developers, we need landscape mode

Team, we need landscape mode. Those of us working on tablets do not find it easy to maneuver it, especially when we have attached keyboards, and portrait is unnatural. Fix please! This should be a standard feature in an Amazon app in 2016.

First and likely last use
Simply put, my order was cancelled without my promised phone call after multiple calls into support and my losing 3 hours of my life (missed two entire 2 hour delivery Windows with 3 hours from time of order to the start of the first delivery window). I could have walked to Walmart, made it through the line with the cashier who had rheumatoid arthritis, walked back and cooked a proper meal. Nope. I sat for 3 hours waiting for a package that 3 reps told me was still on its way. I can't believe Amazon would be worse than Walmart and I hate that place. Oh, and this was my first use of this app, guess that means my first time user coupon is redeemed and useless now, too.

Okay, I'm eligible to use this service where I live and everything. It's just that for some reason the app never works! I add my items to the cart, I press checkout, select the time, select the time, select the time, select the time... You see what I mean. It constantly repeats this step and I can't complete my order. It's very frustrating since this is only a mobile feature.

As an Amazon customer for over 5 years, this is the only review I've ever made. Their "Now" service should be so incredibly illegal. Go do some research - Amazon hides behind other delivery companies and has them hire "independent contractors" so they don't have any ties to the illegal wages that they are paying. Amazon should never have started this service because all they are doing is taking advantage of the unemployed that will take any job opening and not paying a dime for any of their gas, car payment, shop repairs...while making them drive hundreds of miles and forcing them to work longer than their 8 hour day. Please research what these drivers are saying online and us as customers, supporting this is not humane!
