Great for beginning and intermediate learners

This is a wonderful app for children ages two and up to learn the alphabet. My only minor gripe is that some of the letters are shaped in such a way to be a little bit confusing, for example, the "h" looks kind of like an "n". My five-year-old daughter absolutely adored the jumble A-Z game, and went back to it many times. I would love to see capital letters added in an update. This app is definitely going into our regular rotation!

Fun way to learn the alphabet!

This app is fun and inviting. It makes learning the alphabet fun with the different activities and graphics. There is the basic learning the letters through sight and sound, flash cards, simple jumble, timed jumble and a timed challenge. Not only are children learning the letters of the alphabet, they are learning sequencing skills and proper letter order through play.

Great app and a great way for children to learn ....

their ABCS. A fun way for children to learn their ABC's too!!!! Love that it teaches them Alphabet order, but in a fun way! I must admit even the adults like playing with it! Highly recommend!

Alphabet Jumbled is great!

As a teacher if kindergarten, I love the simple format of this game. alphabet is presented in lowercase letters which is great since lowercase is what children encounter when they are learning to read. Alphabet is presented in two formats, naming the letters or the sound of the letter. The alphabet jumbles are challenging enou to get kids excited!

Learning Letters

Letter Learning

This is a good app to help little ones (preschool age) learn the alphabet as well as what order the letters are in the alphabet. My only concern is on the 'phonics' part of the alphabet. The phonetic sound of certain letters should not have the /a/ sound at the end. For example V should sound /v/ not va, W should sound /w/ not wa. Other than that, the app is colorful and engaging to capture the attention of 2-4 year olds.

Not very educational

Reading Buddies

The app has two big problems- first the letters are very cartoon-like, fat and round and so do not look right for children just learning to identify them. Secondly, putting letters into alphabetical order isn't a useful skill for this age group. It is generally not expected until at least First Grade. It would be much more educational to rearrange letters of simple sight words. Can't recommend it, there are much better apps available for the price.

Creative

Creatively challenges child in a variety of colorful formats. Stimulating, well thought out program.
