Cute app for toddler to learn alphabet
Mishcast

This is a good app to help toddler learn and become familiar with alphabets. There are five different activities and I really like the timed activities.

Great Learning App
Uniquely Dina

Here is a Great Alphabet Challenge for older children.( ranging from 3 and older.) This app was well thought-out in the step process. First the child is introduce to the ABC’s. Then comes the use of Flash Cards so the child can visualize the letter with an object. We move on to an Easy Jumbo, Jumbo A-Z and then The CHALLENGE ( which you are timed). It’s a great way to work your way up.The graphics and animations are just enough. This app is great for teachers and parents to use as a learning tool.

Great ABC learning tool!!! Grows with your child!
uniqueconnections

I love this app with it's nautical theme and birght colors it is very engaging! The letters are multicolored which draws a young childs attention to the task. The app is a mulit stage app which I like because it grows with your child as they advance from not knowing the letters, to knowing the alphabet to being able to problem solve to put them in correct order. The first stage of the apps is the ABC's on a Plank board in front of the sea, the little crab is adoarable. The letters are enhanced and the letter is announced. The prounciation is very clear. After your child has mastered this level it is on to ABC flash cards. I love these as they are very familiar to many sets of flash cards that are used, there is a picture of something like A and a picture for apple. again the letter is announced like A for Apple, B for Banana! Great 2nd step for learning the alphabet once your child has mastered this level on to level 3 easy jumble. In this stage there are 5 jumbled letters on the plank board with a new background, under the letters is a broken dotted outline, the goal is to place the letters in the correct spot. When you child successfully matches the letters to the right spot they are rewared with the cute little crabs that bring out a sign like good job! So cute. Then on to level 4 which is the entire alphabet in jumbled order. The goal of this level is to correctly arrange the letters. When you child successfully completes this round they are rewarded with a trophy and their time it took to complete so they could play this level over and over to improve their time. Again the letters are announced as you touch them. The last round is a timed round with 5 letters that are out of order, the goal is to place them in order before the time runs out, there is a fish that swims at the bottom jumping at the letters, if time runs out the letters fall into the sea, if your child completes the round in the time allowed your child is rewarded with fireworks! The music that plays in the background is very pleasant. Some of the things that make this a wonderful app are the multi levels, from beginning letter recogition to mastery of the alphabet. It is multimodal in the fact that it is brightly colored, has pleasant background music, the letters are enhanced when touched as well as announced. The backgrounds change with different levels, the kids are rewarded at each level. All these things help to keep your childs attention while making learning fun. Sure to become a favorite at our house!

good for alpabetical order
KAMIQ

This is a cute app that focuses mostly on alphabetical order. The first section shows all of the letters in order and names them. I really like that, if left to its own, the app will name the letters in order and enlarge each letter as it is named. If your child touches a letter, it will jump to that letter. The flashcard section is cute and has great, kid-friendly art. My issue with the flashcards is that some of the example words for the vowels are short sounds and some are long. Also, some of the consonant examples are consonant blends (such as “fl” for flower and “gr” for grapes). The easy jumble section is great. It takes a few letters and has your child put them in order. There are outlines to give your child clues as to where the letters go. Also, the program is not overly sensitive and will place the letter in the correct place as long as your child gets close to the outline. The jumble A-Z is simply all 26 letters in mixed-up order. There are no outlines to give your child cues and it is more particular about where your child places each letter. The final section requires your child to arrange several letters in a set amount of time while avoiding a jumping fish. It is much more difficult with the time and fine motor requirements, but is a fun race against the clock if your child is able to do it. Overall, this is a great app for practicing alphabetical order. There are a variety of levels to match your child ‘s abilities. The narration is clear and the graphics are fun.

Great app

My preschool to grade 1 students love this app! It's engaging and colorful and the different levels allow challenging activities for students at different developmental levels. Well worth the money!

Teach alphabetical order with this fun app!
amorenew

This is a great app to learn alphabetical order. It presents the letters in lower case with 5 different levels. You get a basic "learn" section where the letters are shown and their names are said aloud. There is a flash card section with pictures ("a is for apple"). The jumbled tasks are great because the kids have to put the letters in the correct order in a variety of skill levels. This app is not for teaching phonics or letter sounds. Very easy to use with cute graphics, soothing background music, and easy touch response for kids to maneuver. Great for toddlers or preschoolers learning letter names and alphabetical order.

Learning That's Engaging!
SD_SLP

I am very impressed by the app for the price. It has options that are very basic with letter identification and object association; however, it increases in complexity to provide problem solving and sorting opportunities. The only thing I would suggest is for "levels" in the higher complexity tasks to allow for a user to continue working without added difficulty. For example, in the "jumble" task, if the user completes the alphabet letter sort, then more letters are added for sorting. There isn't the ability to decipher if multiple errors were made. For those beginning their alphabet learning, this is a must have application!

Great alphabet practice
Faythlyn

This is a great app for alphabet practice - whether your child needs to learn their ABCs, learn the letter sounds, or learn alphabetical order. The letters are bright and attention grabbing while the games are fun and engaging. My kids are 3 and 5 and both enjoy playing this app!

overall good app
CAO623

Although this app has crashed on me several times (which I can't wait to see fixed!), the idea is great. Students of varying levels can use it to learn their alphabet, practice the order that the letters go in and even be timed in how fast they can put the alphabet together. This is a great app for a K-2 primary special education classroom or even PreK-1 general education.

Adorable

We love this app! It works for different ability levels. My daughter with special needs does great with the outlined matching. My six yo son and I challenge each other at the final stage. In the sea of bold, primary color alphabets, this one is refreshing. Easy on the eyes with the light patterned letters. Highly recommend this app.
