I know higher ups push the monthly subscriptions, and removed options to buy classes. No thanks.

I bought the year subscription from Alo moves kind of hesitantly... it took me a few weeks to decide if I was going to commit to it or not before purchasing. But now, I’m so glad I went with it! I used to do ballet so I get super bored with weights at the gym... but also have 3 kids so going to in person Pilates/Yoga/Fitness classes is a mission. Let alone $100’s per month each! This is absolutely perfect for what I needed! I can take my classes wherever, I don’t have to try to come up with creative workouts myself, and I can even have my kids around and it’s no biggie. I love the diversity of the workouts and instructors. I can’t say enough good things... just buy it if you can relate! You won’t regret it!

I am 900 hour certified in various types of Yoga and Pilates. this app is highly informative to help build knowledge, creative sequencing and challenges. it’s a never ending supply of something new to learn and explore. anywhere from the basics/roots to the “art of assists”. i absolutely love this app and if i could give it more than 5 stars, i would. ❤️

Glitchy and Slow

I appreciate the concept of this app very much, hence my subscription. However, the quality of the app has been disappointing to me, as it is very glitchy. On my iPad, which is 4th gen, purchased in 2014, up to date on iOS, the app will not load at all, it glitches and shuts down within one or two clicks. Alright, adapting, I choose to use the app on my iPhone. While this works better (as in I can actually watch a video), it is incredibly glitchy and sluggish. At times videos do not load at all, so it’s really a mixed bag if I will actually get to practice with Alo or not. Considering this is a paid subscription, I really expected better app development, and because of this am considering canceling my subscription in the coming months. Just adding this to review commons as an honest experience for anyone who may be considering purchasing this app.

The range of classes and instructors in this app is simply amazing. I have a long work day so cannot make it to classes and this gives me a solid practice on my own time. I love that there are series that you can follow or choose single classes. I amgetting back to yoga after a few years off from my practice and these series have helped to build strength, flexibility, and confidence in a focused practice. The app interface is a bit buggy but not terrible. Filters are somewhat okay to use. I wish there was a way to organize my practice into folders or types of classes. Merging the stats with my practice would also be a good feature. But none of that takes away from the access to this amazing content. Overall it’s a great experience and well worth the 20 a month subscription fee.

There is something really broken with this app on all of my devices (TV, iPad, iPhone) where it doesn’t recognize my subscription but yet it does. I.e., every page tells me to start a free trial to access the content, and every time I click on it, it tells me I have an active subscription (which I do and pay 20/month for). I’ve reached out to Alo but until they respond, one star is what this deserves.
