As of this review the app is not appear as an approved prep provider on the institutes website. There are less expensive options that are approved by the institute available.
Needs more functionality

This app would have received a better review if there was the option to break down the topics by specific areas (i.e. leases as an option under financial statements analysis).

The question bank is helpful to understand concepts better, but there is material in there from previous years that is not tested in the current year, so it's confusing if you didn't read the section well. Also do not use the reading outlines as your primary study tool- the LOCs are not the same as the ones in the actual curriculum. All in all, it's an ok supplement and relatively cheap, but it's compiled from previous years, so use it to help you understand concepts, but don't expect it to prepare you for the test.

Its a very handy app, questions are very well partitioned, answer to questions are thorough and the ranking works as a good index of your performance. Very glad to buy the question bank.
The only complete mobile test bank

Until Schweser gets into the app game Allen has no competition. The test bank is decent although some of the questions use terminology that I have not seen in the official CFAI material. A great feature would be the ability to turn off questions that require a calculator since most will use the app on the go.
