Smooth App, Great Journalism

The coverage of international events provided by Al Jazeera is just what journalism should be: unadulterated facts. The app performs very well, and articles can be shared with other apps quite easily. The only area for improvement I have noticed is the inability of the user to select an individual word to find its definition. This is great news in a great format!

Since Al Jazeera closed its broadcast news in the US, this app has become a reliable substitute to the largely skewed domestic propaganda. I have been pleasantly surprised by the balanced approach with which Al Jazeera presents world coverage of the news. They are not swayed by national, religious or other parochial interests, a standard that even the world's purported democratic leader finds difficult to attain. It is little wonder they are hated by Arab and Western countries alike, especially countries whose hypocritical actions frequently place them in AJ's crosshairs. Keep reporting the news and we will keep reading and sharing them.

Mostly Unbiased News Source

I use BBC News and Al Jazeera English for my iOS news sources to avoid the circus that US domestic news has become. They’re both as unbiased as is possible in today’s divisive political climate. Additionally, Al Jazeera was crashing every time I used it. It seemed to freeze up when an ad would appear, but I deleted and reinstalled and it seemed to fix the issue. Hopefully someone can use this info.

I rarely write reviews for applications, but this one deserves one. I have been using the app for a month and I comfortably say this is th best news source out there. In a time where media cares more about getting clicks than delivering information, Al Jazeera seems to be the only ones sticking to their guns and inform their users about the world. Thank you.

Some suggestions

It would be nice to have a stream-lined content viewing experience of the topics I saved/bookmarked rather than having to switch back and forth to the individual contents. Also, when I do tap to that specific topic (e.g. Environment, Science & Tech) through my saved topics tab, it only show 2 articles. What's up with that? I also would prefer there to be an available portrait mode where only one article preview is shown per "row" and I can just keep scrolling down for the further articles. That way I'm not forced to only see a cluttered collage.

This news channel has never written anything positive about India (nor the West but I expected that of them). All stories tilted and biased toward Muslims. Just like this review- I doubt they will publish this after they review my review.

Hi there, so thank you’all for presenting this an app but i got some problems in it when get in it i find(no internet connection) I don’t know although I linked up with internet and a broadcast is not work at all i hope you updating it or otherwise fix it thank you Best of luck
