Works great with PS3 Media Server

Love it!

Works as advertised

BigBlueBooch

Combine this app with Serviio to stream virtually any video format to your iPad / iPhone. Unable to fast forward or rewind without app crashing is only drawback. Default settings worked fine for me, so setup was a breeze. Overall, an outstanding program.

What happened?

Ur moms mouth dick

I've had this app for ages to use with my tversity server. Worked perfect. For about two years. With this update, for some reason when I select songs. Each one starts at 11 seconds in. So that's no good. Then if I hit the lock button after selecting a song. It skips like crazy. Can you please tell me why you took a perfectly good working app (that I paid for) and turned it into a pile of crap? I'd give less than one star if I could. But don't buy this app. It used to be good. It's not anymore.

Used to be nice app

Glitches in playback with TWONKY server. Skips and jumbles start of songs. Still never able play an album seamlessly without buffering gaps between songs. I rip FLAC using XLD. No issues with rips in PLEX or LMS. This used to be my go to app. I don't like PLEX, but I may have to switch. Bummer.

Good, but some improvements needed

Mmaciuca

It is in fact a great app that does what it says. I use for streaming movies from my NAS to apple tv without turning my pc on. I discovered some other apps that can do the same but this one is very simple in use and pretty stable. However, what i discovered with the last update is that it drains the battery extremely fast in some instances. Moreover, a few times when i played videos on iphone without airplaying on apple tv it heated up my iphone in just couple of minutes so that i could feel the heat even through the case which is pretty thick in fact. I suggest this issue is addressed asap. Don't know about the music skips others reported about simply because I don't use it for music. Videos play fine. What I would also prefer to see this app doing is to have the ability to search for a new video or music on NAS after playing a file without stopping it, the same way YouTube does (minimize video by sliding it down and search for something new while it is still playing). Now when you play a file and want to look for another file you can only do that by stopping the first one. Don't know how difficult it is to introduce this feature but it is also relatively not a cheap app so it would be worth having it, for the money.

Worst $5 I've ever spent do not recommend it it barley deserves 1 star

Plays PS3 Media Server files

Zardoz94788

This is the only app I've found that plays PS3 Media Server videos from my iMac, and it works well. The only thing I wish it had is the ability to show thumbnail photos alongside the video titles (like it does from a PS3).

Love this app

Über monkey 1337

It gets the play list in order, unlike a lot of competing apps. (I always play my music from folders, and expect it to play in the alphabetical order I have there since all my files are named like artist-01-title.mp3). Awesome!

DLNA connection is flaky.

Kitihawk2

Connecting to a DLNA server is flaky. Sometimes it takes more than 10 minutes to start playing a movie.

Awesome
