SUPERB Email App!

My daily driver because: - Fast - Rapid Support response - Massive/seamless integration with my other apps: OmniFocus, Agenda, OneDrive, Trello, Fantastical . . . - Sharp appearance! Well-done Airmail!

Still declining! Worst.

Do not buy!!! I previously purchased both the premium iPhone and iPad apps when they were 1 set bigger fixed price. 1. Annoying ad pops up 100x day & all day everyday it has a pop up soliciting their monthly fee subscription plan with no way to turn it off!! 2.They are taking away features from us, things as basic as being able to delete attachment so the app doesn’t take up as much storage. I was told by Customer Service that I need to just go ahead and delete the whole thing… And I could re-download everything and set it up again! Great, what a solution you guys provide us with! Worst designed paid app Ive ever bought!

Bugs!

XZOrbit

I used to like this app. I used to subscribed to Pro version. No more! There’s so many bugs that I feel like developers should start paying consumers to test Airmail app to make it somewhat useful to everyone.

Long time user, still annoyed

I paid fully for this app (and airmail 1), but they changed it to a subscription model and took away many features without care. I get a pop up every time I open this app with an add for their yearly subscription, which... why would I pay for that when things never ever work?

App needs a fairer Premium Feature model than a subscription…

UPDATE 4.0 Keeps asking to upgrade to Pro! I paid for the app, why am I seeing ads every time I go to settings? UPDATE: 3.1 More features added behind a pay wall. Developers’ still not listening to loyal longtime users and won’t offer a “one-time” pay option for use features, only subscription. UPDATE 3.0.1 Notice that the Apple Design Award featured in the screenshots and in the product description is from 2017, it’s now 2020… UPDATE 3.0.1 Developer still not listening to long-standing customers. UPDATE 3.0 Yet more subscription features and no fair options. UPDATE 2.1.5 Still in need of a more fairer licensing scheme! UPDATE 2.1.3 Still needs better licensing that is fair for both developer and customer alike. UPDATE 2.1.1 Canary Mail has just released a new 3.0 release. Similar to this app, they have started charging for new features. Which I am fully willing to do for great apps. I would be willing to do with this app, but as others have said, subscriptions are a non-starter. Canary Mail has a one-time upgrade fee for the new 3.0 features. If AirMail would simply offer an option to buy (within reason) the new features outright, that I could live with. UPDATE 2.1 Developer keeps ignoring long-standing customers. UPDATE 2.0 The app needs to switch over to a Premium model like Working Copy and Agenda. You pay for a year worth of Premium features and get to keep them permanently, then after the end of the year, you can renew for future new Premium Features. But if you don’t renew (right away) then you still keep the existing Premium features you already purchased and paid for. This model both rewards the user for supporting development and encourages the developers to keep adding new features. Easily a win-win for both sides. UPDATE 1.0 After years of no major updates, now we see a flood of great new features. Problem is, the subscription puts these features behind a pay wall. I would be happy to pay for new features if the developers really needed funding, but subscriptions are a quick No Go. Why should I have to perpetually paid for features I already paid for once. The app should adopt a paid feature plan like the app Working Copy, or at the very least an a la carte option. Original Review: This was a great app. Developer stated one reason for the change is due to costs associated with using non-Apple push services… but they don’t explain why they aren’t using Apple’s services, since this is a iOS App. New licensing “update” is a slap in the face to loyal paying customers. I purchased this app as a full featured paid app, but the app has been “released” as a updated Free App with IAP. So basically all paid users are being forced to upgrade for the privilege to lose features or sign up for a subscription. Since the App Store doesn’t allow suppressing update notifications. Also since IAPs don’t carry over with Family Sharing, basically this can affect whole families!

Once was good.

The app stops use with a pop up trying to make me buy its paid service every time I open the app. If this didn’t happen I would consider 5 stars. I get they make money on paid model but hammering over and over makes me much less likely to buy.

Unbelievably buggy...

Why is the duplicate notification bug still present after 3 years? It’s fixed in the beta which you unceremoniously booted me from...what a shame I’ve sent at least 10 new customers to you but I won’t recommend this product again until you do a better job on quality and release cadences

Worst email app available

HEY LOOK THESE INCOMPETENT CLOWNS RESET THE RATINGS AGAIN. It's actually pretty comical how bad this app is. Instead of fixing the stuff that's broke they add other irrelevant features. Not very good business accrumen Title pretty much sums it up. Too many issues to list and after paying for the app, they bombard you with pop-ups to subscribe to their irrelevant subscription service. Now they give you the option to make it your default email client?, who would want a client that doesn’t work half the time as their default email client. If the poor functionality isn’t enough, these clueless devs reset the ratings multiple times per week to hide the fact their app consistently has a 2 star rating.

Broken Smart Folder

CerebralBoy

Smart folders are now broken and unusable. When you select a smart folder you do not see the results of that folder search — you are prompted to edit the folder! And you cannot break out of this loop even if you do edit the folder search rules. Tragic, epic fail.

Don’t waste your time right now. 10/31/20

On the Mac, this app is pretty awesome and I dare say the best. I have to use a particular type of protocol for my work email and only airmail, outlook and mail seem to work. The app, itself, works fine when you open it, but the refreshing of new mail and push notifications is broken. Support via email is lackluster and unhelpful.
