No probs, good Fun

WhoahizSimone

I wanted to play this when it came out for the pc, but my laptop is crap, so I was excited to see it on iOS! Then I saw all the reviews mentioning glitches, so begrudgingly, I put it off. However, I finally caved, and I'm writing this review to say I've completed the entire game glitch free on my iPhone 5s. So yeah. Good fun, and I didn't have to use (pay for?)any hints. My only complaint is that I found only a bit short. But overall I enjoyed the experience and I'm glad i made the purchase.

Controlling Game Difficult

Black_Pearl 21

Manipulating keys, pens, & other small objects nearly impossible. Used clues just to get on with game. Not fun since I adore Poirot & puzzle solving. iPhone 5 w/iOS 10. Perhaps iPad will be better? Potentially good game aside from that. I would try more Poirot/Agatha C. Games from developer.

Great potential, needs work

Tinkersdam

Buggy. More QA needed on interactive points. Inferences around clues are often random and illogical. Good concept, mediocre execution.

One little suggestion

Doubtful dog

It's really a perfect game, except that I wish it was slightly more difficult. Maybe letting us decide when we think we are ready to "get our brain cells to work" ... so there is more engagement with the clues we are gathering. Really fun, and I'll probably re download it again to get a better score! I gotta harness my inner Poirot!

Fantastic game!!

Lee James McAboy

I'm a huge Hercule Poirot fan and really loved this game!! Even if I wasn't a fan, the game has a great story line and great characters. I didn't encounter any problems or bugs in the gameplay.

Outrageous RIP OFF

mercer88

Avoid purchasing. Play is buggy, and despite huge cost you then must then buy hints. Extremely disappointed!

Bug in Observation mode?

frke

The observation mode, which is important part of the game may have a bug. The circle you move only moves left and right, not up and down. So it's not obvious what to do. When you do randomly tap and find things, the words overlap each other and are not readable. It doesn't block play but does make it less clear and takes away from being engaged with the character.

NO SOUND!!! ?

Just purchased 5 minutes ago and no sound. Other reviewers complained about this should have listened!

Please make more!

As a devout Agatha Christie fan the sheer existence of this game is delightful. What makes it incredible is the deceptively intricate and charming art. The detail while not terribly realistic is simply lovely. I beg thee make more, many more! Marple too!!

Really wanted to love this...but slow & buggy

Jane Rien

Proceed with caution before buying this game. As background, I really really really love Poirot and have read all of the novels Dame Christie wrote with our favorite Belgian detective. Was so stoked to play this game I jut bought it straight away. The game has its merits: challenging puzzles, glamorous English pre WWII scenery, costumes and architecture, twist ending for those that aren't familiar with the story. Hell, I guess the price was worth it just to explore Poirot's fabulous Whitehaven apartment mansion in post WWI London! The cons: often times the puzzles are challenging Because the programming of touchscreen "hotspots" are poorly done, and often not responsive on an iPhone 6 screen, perhaps it works better on a laptop or iPad. Slow load times of the game, new scenes and frequent crashing starting in the third murder scene's mansion were highly disappointing and really detracted from my enjoyment of this game. Plus, when you move to another active app for an indeterminate amount of time (as everyone does when playing games on a mobile phone), the game has to restart and you often lose your progress. I give it 4stars only out of my love for all things Agatha Christie, frankly the game gets a C minus. That being said, if they fix the bugs and make more Poirot or even Miss Marple or Tommy & Tuppence games I would be all over it...but only if they functioned better.
