Really wanted to love this...but slow & buggy – Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders (FULL) Review

Proceed with caution before buying this game. As background, I really really really love Poirot and have read all of the novels Dame Christie wrote with our favorite Belgian detective. Was so stoked to play this game I jut bought it straight away. The game has its merits: challenging puzzles, glamorous English pre WWII scenery, costumes and architecture, twist ending for those that aren't familiar with the story. Hell, I guess the price was worth it just to explore Poirot's fabulous Whitehaven apartment mansion in post WWI London! The cons: often times the puzzles are challenging Because the programming of touchscreen "hotspots" are poorly done, and often not responsive on an iPhone 6 screen, perhaps it works better on a laptop or iPad. Slow load times of the game, new scenes and frequent crashing starting in the third murder scene's mansion were highly disappointing and really detracted from my enjoyment of this game. Plus, when you move to another active app for an indeterminate amount of time (as everyone does when playing games on a mobile phone), the game has to restart and you often lose your progress. I give it 4stars only out of my love for all things Agatha Christie, frankly the game gets a C minus. That being said, if they fix the bugs and make more Poirot or even Miss Marple or Tommy & Tuppence games I would be all over it...but only if they functioned better.
