This is a homage to old school gaming. The pace is well done and the game is a blast. It's simple yet cleanly done. I recommend picking this up if you were an 80's - 90s kid and you are looking for something classic without a ridiculous in-app purchase cash grab.

The game is a marriage of rogue-like and JRPG mechanics. It's extremely addicting and allows for just enough customization and character development to feel fun and rewarding, without becoming a chore. If old school Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy hold a special place in your heart, you would be doing yourself a great disservice by passing this game up. It has all the hallmarks of the aforementioned JRPG greats, made accessible and portable-friendly.

Makes me think of a different kind of Final Fantasy game.... Easy to understand, fun to play!! Crafting weapons is cool... I haven't gotten super far yet, but I absolutely love it!!

Turn based combat, plenty of stats and gear to keep track of, lots of variety in classes and pets, satisfying sense of progression. For the grand price of "free," you really can't go wrong here. Well done.
