Come explore the Adventure Beyond Time !
There is no map, and with navigation between screens being too slow, it makes the games tedious to play compared to similar titles. Additionally, some of the earlier puzzles react way too slowly (like the tree one), thus frustrating to solve.
The clues are very involved and the steps needed to complete the clues require one to have to write them down, as there are so many specific steps one is required to complete. For example, one has to place a lever on the ship’s throttle, and then turn the lever in various directions; followed by specific turns on the ship’s steering wheel. They have to be completed in a specific order or it doesn’t work. When I placed my finger to direct either the steering wheel or the lever, it would erratically respond by going in the opposite direction of where I was directing it. Then you are suppose to start all over again which I gave up on out of complete frustration since it would just malfunction again. The lever and steering wheel are placed too close to each other, which further complicated one being able to have the app respond as directed.
This game could be much better with a few tweaks to the game play and interface. A simple map with key locations would really help with navigation. It is not always easy to get back to previous locations visited on island. Most games of this type limit accessible locations and objects. You have to use a few objects in inventory (solve puzzles) to progress to more locations and more objects. This game has many locations and many objects that can be picked up. It is a confusing mess to sort out. It might be more managable with better interface for the inventory.
Fun with a neat story. Liked all the cultures they touched on. Very similar to Chimera Labs but with less science. Had to use some hints tho... worth playing for sure. My biggest negative are the multiple typos I found (visable, for example)... yikes!
So clunky, not even any real graphics, more just giant icons to collect. Clues are completely non intuitive and it’s so slow. Hate that I spent any money on it.
Nice game. Yes it’s 5 years old so no fancy graphics blah blah blah. BUT I love these older games they hold my interest much longer than the new games. Great job peoples and keep up the good work!
I love this game. It is interesting because it has multiple places to explore. Challenging and easy puzzles. Plus such great art and atmosphere.
If you’ve never played this type of game before, this is not the one to start with because it is more challenging than most. But that’s a good thing for those of us with experience, because you won’t be completing it quickly.
