I have been using the app for a while to watch videos and everything and when I updated it last the app stopped showing videos and now requires an in app purchase to display the videos. It really seems unfair. Too bad too. I used to think this was the best player ever, now I feel cheated.
screen lock bug

Has very annoying bug where the screen doesn't rotate. You end up watching your movie upside down.

Works great streaming movies from airstash2 to my iPad Air. I just go to the browser in aceplay and put in the airstash local address and the movies play great. I used the mkv movie format to stream. I tried 4 other apps before finding this one.

This is one of the few free network players left. It seems like all the big guys found out they could make a few extra$ by making you buy the option of streaming movies off your local network.

I'm using an ipad2. Tried several different apps and this was the only free one that would play mkv and avi with the audio (infuse3 worked too but they force you to upgrade eventually)! So far so good. Automatically rotated the mp4 video when I started playing it but that's been the only oddity I've found so far. Ty!
Stream a large file!

This app played a large video file shared via wifi when other players couldn't play it smoothly. I am happy I tried it.

This app is my default video player on my iPad and iPhone. I don't even bother using anything else, it is fantastic, and plays everything I've thrown at it without a hiccough. One small thing - it seems that every now and then the app just decides for itself that it will now lock screen rotation and I have to exit the video I'm watching, go back to settings, and switch it back off to be able to change screen rotation. Fix this one small annoyance and you have 5 stars...
