Stories feel like old school detective stories

I am a huge fan of the old detective stories of Agatha Christie and others. This game involves you playing as a lawyer and a detective investigating crimes and it feels just like those old noir stories. Highly recommend this to anyone else who is a fan of that kind of story.

Where to start with how bad this is? Let’s start with the fact that nothing in this even remotely resembles an actual court proceeding. Horrifying every single defendant is guilty until proven innocent, which is the opposite of the actual law. There is no due process reflected. The entire time the defense lawyer is having to catch the murderer during cross examinations and with evidence illegally obtained in field investigations. This ends up being the ONLY way to prove your client’s innocence which should already be assumed. Thus any hit of doubt, which would be laughably easy in these stories, should have been sufficient. Next the way in which objections and judgment from the judge occur are completely unbalanced and unbearable. I’m going to present evened or ask a viable question ... objection you can’t do that because I said so and I’m the prosecution so there... sustained! .. ugh. Then trying to get to actually be able to present viable evidence is excruciating. I get it, it’s a game that has to be pre-thought and planned out ... then that means it’s poorly designed. Oh, and while the prosecutor can object on everything you do, you can’t do squat, just try and figure out where the game is trying to direct you to go. The process is frustrating even when it’s obvious. If you know even a modicum of law in the US then this game will become obnoxious. I also don’t like the idea that this promotes the backward idea of guilty until proven innocent beyond a reasonable doubt. Writers... a court date being set within 48hrs of the murder while the defendant has yet to even meet with a lawyer?! Come on!! At least give me some kind of semblance of actual procedures. This game would be soooooo much better if people who actually practiced or studied law to any degree... or even a real fiction crime writer... was involved. It’s all about the storyline and the process and this one is all botched.

I absolutely loved this game!!! The storyline and plot was fantastic, and the character really do make you like them! I, generally, LOVE games like this, but......the next parts all cost money, and if you know me, I’m broke, and have barely any money to spare for my school tuition, and much less for buying parts of AA. This game is my favorite, and has left a lasting impression on my heart, but I can’t buy anything, so the game is rendered worthless, since I cannot play anymore. Maybe if you make the next parts free, I would rate this 5/5, without a doubt. I really hope to see more of these types of games, and I will forever remember AA.

Like most people I love the ace attorney games, mainly the trilogy. And I would love to play them on the go with bringing a ds or switch. However this ain’t it. Extremely slow, slower than the ds games in fact. Very buggy. And overall doesn’t feel polished at all. If you want to play these games which I highly recommend you do, play them on ds, switch, ps4, Xbox one, or PC. Stay far away from the iOS version
