Needs Improvements
Concerned about violence
Please correct the spelling of the word "aeroplane" to the CORRECT spelling, which is "airplane"! & Please REMOVE the word & picture "hit" from the word list because it is OFFENSIVE !!! There is too much violence in the world without showing it in a children's app!!! The word "hit" could be changed to "sit" or "lit". Also, the word "tap" should be changed to "cap" because children would recognize this word more than the word & picture of "tap" in your program. Also, the word & picture of a "rat" could be changed to "mat" or "sat", which would be less offensive words & pictures! Although we bought the app, we have deleted it until the word & picture of someone being hit is removed from the otherwise good app. We hope you will make these few changes, which will make your app a very good app for children...otherwise we just wasted our money on an unusable app!!! Thank you very much from Very Concerned Parents!

We love this little app. Love the feedback feature and the music when tracing the letters. ABC Song is awesome! Word section is wonderful. One request. Please provide ability to trace child's name.

I bought this app to use with a student, and when I tested it out I thought it would be fun and interactive for him. While he did enjoy tracing the letters, I was quite upset when we got to the balloon pop game. One of the screens shows a scramble of letters that spell out two inappropriate words. I was so appalled that I had to stop the game before we started and my student was disappointed. Any way to fix this problem so we can play this game again?

My son likes the app. The tracing is a bit more delicate for fingers to get right. App creator doesn't know the difference between a rat and rabbit (R has an illustration of a rat - not a rabbit). Creators website link are broken.

This is a great app and worth the upgrade from the free version. The one exception is the capital M and both the capital and small W. I've never seen a writing program that forms those letters the way this app does. This needs to be corrected.

We love this App, but have one MAJOR complaint! The sound is awful!! Even turned all the way to max volume is still so hard to hear. You either have to use headphones or be in a otally silent place. My kindergartner & I are disappointed :(
Great application but could be expanded

My 6 year old loves practicing his letter and number writing with this app, but the 1,2,3 writing exercise needs to be expanded beyond the first twenty numbers. Most kindergarten children are required to be able to write at least up to the first one hundred numbers before first grade. Increase this function and the app will be awesome.

As a therapist working in the elementary schools, I use this handwriting app as a reinforcer. It teaches the top to bottom approach, and the red / incorrect line is a nice visual for the students to see when an improper stroke is made. I use the iPad stylus, as I also work on correct "pencil" grasp. A fix that could be made: when tracing the words, the eraser and the pencil / draw again, are positioned on the right side, so a right handed person is continuously mistakingly hitting those buttons with the side of their writing hand causing increase frustration for the user. Also, the demonstration could be a little bit slower. OverAll, I would recommend this app for Kindergarden and above to reinforce proper handwriting mechanics.
My daughter loves it, but…

…that is not a rabbit. I hope the picture is changed in a future update. I also think the demonstration should be slower. My daughter watches it several times before she really gets what she's seeing. Still, it's her favorite app and she's always begging for the iPad so she can do "lion!"
