My 7 year old is moving to a school that taught cursive last year and needs to catch up. After doing this app he was actually able to write an entire sentence in script. It would get 5 stars if it had capital letters too!

It does a wonderful job of teaching letters AND joining up. I wish they had a printing version as well. I'd buy it in a minute.

It's very easy to use. I really like it alot, if I could ask for anything it would be upper case letters as well and maybe a lined page for free practice. But over all a great starter app.

Letters don't seem to be the right shape

The letters in the app aren't the same shape as I learned in school. Not sure if they are correct.

I like the grouping of cursive styles and the layout. However, it crashes often and transition from one slide to the next is a bit frustrating and slow. I wish it offered more words and possibly short sentences to practice as there are less than 20 words to practice with.

Using for kids with learning disabilities

We use this for my 8 yr old who has LD. It has been a great tool to help him practice. It would be great if there was a way to tell it what word you want to type and then practice. Otherwise, it has worked well and doesn't crash on us.

I just bought this but I was disappointed because it is not traditional cursive. The "f" doesn't look like an f at all. I wish Handwriting Without Tears made an app like this.

Excellent App. We've downloaded many educational apps for preschool and elementary. This is the best. It would be equally good for adults to learn cursive handwriting with this app. When dragging the letters onto the line in the correct order for a word, be sure to actually drag them onto the line (another important lesson when writing). I will watch for other apps from this developer.

I am so disappointed! This is not normal cursive writing. Do you have the regular way to teach cursive? I taught cursive for thirty years in the USA and this is not correct for teaching writing. Beverly Carroll

A nice app for British style cursive

I'm an American living in the UK. Thanks so much for this app! It will help my primary school age learn the British style cursive they are learning in school. I was having trouble helping them because I only know the US style. The app covers letter formation clearly, but it would benefit from a few more words as final practice.
