Great Idea, Absolutely Horrible Execution.

574:-p

So I’m just gonna get right to the point here. The game is boring as heck. You tap, read, swipe and repeat. No excitements. It was a great idea, a relaxing open world game. But seriously? You don’t walk, you tap. Wanna go to that cool lookin exhibit right there? Tap it. Then read a paragraph about some useless crap, then move along. I thought it would a nice cozy game without stress, but in reality, it was an unfinished horrible playing garbage controlling horrendous excuse for a game, with no goal other than to tap swipe read and R E P E A T! ! ! Developers, if I were to recommend somethin’ , just change the controls, and make it more interesting.

Relaxing puzzle game with depth

US_Atlas

The creators of this game have truly mastered the art form of creating a casual puzzle-explorer work of art that is as addicting as it is beautiful. True to the genre, the puzzles start out easy and get more complex as you play, exploring the realm island by island. The satirical “human museum” provides just the right amount of entertainment reward for progressing, and there’s more than just a little satisfaction at figuring out a tough island. About the time you think the game has exhausted itself, you realize you haven’t nearly finished exploring all the map. Returning to previously “easy” puzzles, you find some islands where the advanced moves you learned after you had already passed open up new paths. To explore the entire map, you have to combine several different islands into bigger and bigger puzzles. The depth and complexity of some of the more frustrating puzzles are masterpieces in design. At the end, it’s difficult to put the game down, but you walk away with the feeling that you’ve actually accomplished something, which is lacking in most app store games these days. It’s well worth the tens of hours it takes to wander through this surprisingly engaging world.

Really cute

It’s a really cute fun game and the puzzles make you think. Some are actually a bit harder to solve than you think they will be. I really enjoy playing this game.

Amazing game but does not save.

Raven_Quinn

This is an amazing game that works your brain to try figuring out the levels. I have played numerous times. But what is truly frustrating is that it will not save my last played position and it has kicked me out numerous times. (I’ve seen previous replies. And yes I have PLENTY of storage left on the cloud). Sadly because of this and it shutting down I cannot finish the game. I can see where I last played and how may islands I have completed but when I go to start where I left off. The app shuts down.

Another great puzzle game... but with bugs

iheartnjdevils

I played how to build a snowman and cosmic express and love the puzzle games by this developer. Across all of the games, the puzzles are creative and challenging. Sometimes they have me banging my head against a wall, just to be able to easily solve it due to a new perspective the next time I pick it up. I like that I’m not able to just speed through the levels and even more, when I’m stuck, I can opt to try a different level or path. All of their games do a great job of introducing new mechanics while progressively getting tougher. I loved Cosmic Express so much that I actually bought the Arcade subscription just to play this game, however, I’m a little disappointed that a game I need a subscription for has a noticeable amount of bugs. For instance, I’ve struggled with reading the plaques on the larger points of interest/landmarks and end up just pressing all over the screen until it pops up. One of the more frustrating bugs is when will show me that I can move a log to a certain spot while still long pressing, only for it to fail due to some limitation when I release and the monster attempts the move. Normally, it won’t register when you long press to preview an impossible move but there is no logic as to why it occasionally it will. Lastly, while I typically enjoy the way you learn how to play the game by simply playing it, there are some features/gameplay that I haven’t figured out yet and I’ve visited 354 islands. Occasionally an oval shadow will blink over a spot and I have no idea what it means, what it does (if anything) or what it’s purpose is. I think it has something to do with a previous move but I’ve yet to find a use for it. I would love to hear some feedback on what this is.

Challenging and Relaxing

I really enjoyed this game!

Terrific puzzler!

Bonepenny

If you enjoy spatial puzzling like sliding brick games, you’ll adore this one! I like that it doesn’t have too many absurdly easy levels in the beginning. Most puzzle games are made up of stupidly easy and insanely hard levels. What I want are lots of intermediate levels - those that give you a challenge, but are doable given careful thought. Monster’s Expedition seems to have a bunch of intermediate levels like this, which I love! Also… cute graphics and funny object descriptions. Fortunately I’ve not had save game issues that some players have had. 5* game for me!

Zooming out on map

CallMePuzzled11

Hey please fix the map view at postboxes. When you zoom out all the detail goes. You see random icons floating as though in sea. Zoom in and it’s an island

Outstanding

One of the best puzzle games I have played
