Oldie but a goodie

A Newly Minted Engineer

Great game, and deeper than I remember! Only issue was that during my second play through the game would crash after listening to one of the audio files all the way through.

An Enchanting Journey that uses no magic.

Drudjxx

What an excellent game that was built so basically. You must give it a try. It’s subtle tone is haunting and extremely well done.

Crashes

Mr.falcon55

Now I love this game from start to finish, Its brought me hours of enjoyment and twists, and I decided to go for the no hut playthrough after I finished. Unfortunately, I can’t finish this playthrough because the game crashes every thirty seconds or so while I am playing now. I wish I knew how to fix this .

YES!

Capt. of Starship Earth

Wow! Yes! Amazing! I enjoyed this so much more than I thought was possible for a game of this style. Let you imagination run wild.

Wonder and exploration await

MB2011qq

I distinctly remember my first play through, my 7th grade self found a dark room on a school computer and it slowly began to occupy my mind during the lulls in Texas history. The slow creep of new mechanics and mysteries about the unique world you’re dropped into practically beg you to explore the dusty path and the subtle lore hidden throughout all aspects of the game. The minimalistic nature of the game encourages you to fill in the lore of the world yourself, allowing each player’s journey to be their own, as well as providing very satisfying revelations when you stumble upon some knew knowledge. May the fire burn bright for you, may it keep you warm.

Latest Update Totally Ruined Game

Disgusted-101

Old school simple game, but fun because you can stop and return anytime. Unfortunately, they chose to make an update 6-days ago that totally ruined the game. They made fonts smaller, buttons like ‘gather wood’ and ‘check traps’ nanometers apart, and the switch between screens has become faster, but totally abrupt and jerky. User interface made horrendous. I’ll wait a week or so to see if this message results in fixes, if not I’ll be sadly deleting a game I’ve had for years.

One of my favorite games

Bobby B Jonnes

A super simple game on the surface, but very enjoyable and intriguing throughout!

A great game

nazono!

To be honest I love a dark room because not only is it a game that is fun if you play it again but also because it’s a challenging game, I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for a great game with a lot of story and is looking for a challenge. So I hope that you found review helpful and if you did than that’s good and I hope hat you enjoy the rest of your day/night!

Amazing game

Ballerfamlit

Good story, gameplay is fun, I can’t sing enough praise for this game. I’ve replayed it so many times and it’s only more fun. At first glance it has almost nothing going on but the more you play the more you see that the amount of content is massive

Reviews, and mine

Judge dredge

Most the 1 star reviews are from people who don’t enjoy this style of game. I don’t recommend looking to far into them. Unless you want to see some elitism commentary and utter stupidity Spoilers ahead: Now then, the games not for everyone and rating on scales is silly. Everyone has their own taste. But for $2 this game has a lot of replay value. It’s fun, the first play through you’ll buy huts, and regret it as your companion grows to despise you, yet you still love them. Next play through you’ll avoid the huts, keep it just the two of you. It’ll be slow and painful, you’ll appreciate whatever little they gather. Then, they’ll fall unconscious, you’ll be alone yet determined. You’ll make mistakes, fail and lose, but never give up. You’ll win and will feel accomplished.
