The computer (your partner) plays extremely dumb moves that make no sense. I think they programmed the FREE version that way to con us into buying the upgraded version. Not cool.

The game won't allow me to trump in. The robo people can Trump in but it won't let me. Disgusted!! I love playing 42. There are some bugs. ??

This is a great learning game. Sometimes the dummy partner does stupid stuff. Sometimes I do stupid moves too. I guess I could pay for the smart partner. Then again, it’s just a game.
Play Texas 42 instead of this one

Blatant dumb moves by the computer partner made me delete this game. I get you want us to buy the smarter partner but come on, at least don’t let the partner be so stupid to lose the game on purpose.

That’s not saying much! Your partner plays worse than a beginner. When you and your partner have all the trump, DONT LEAD WITH ANOTHER TRUMP! I still play this game for hours. I try to justify that it makes me more skilled at overcoming a bad partner. Unfortunately your opponents don’t always throw count when they should, making for a an easy win that you would ordinarily lose. Please continue improving this game! You are very close! But it still needs work!

I agree w another review that even w the smart partner option, the computer is not strong. As a teammate, in cases where it becomes obvious that the only trumps remaining belong to your team, it will continue exhausting trumps and forcing them from your hand unnecessarily, which often leaves you to to leadoff position but no more trumps and just bad off dominoes remaining. As an opponent, when it becomes obvious that it’s teammate has the strongest domino and that it will not be trumped, the computer will often refuse to add count to the hand and thereby set your team. IE sometimes you end up winning when you shouldn’t. Idk. Decent but not strong CPU. Technical issue the “tap” option doesn’t work, you have to hold it down for a long time to highlight trump dominoes in the betting round.

It plays basic 42 but many of the options of the game are only available if you buy them. Also game are only about half that of a normal game. The computer partner tends to be less than perfect. With that said I play it and enjoy it.
