3D PDF Reader is free iOS app published by Tech Soft 3D

I just bought this to see if it would work. Of the three sample documents included, the .prc and .u3d documents came up blank; it crashed when I tried to open the .pdf document. Likewise, the app crashed immediately when I tried to open a pdf file with an embedded prc object that works well with Adobe Reader on my Mac laptop. When I opened the same document with Adobe Reader on the iPad, I saw no option come up to view the embedded prc object with the 3D PDF Reader app. In summary, this app exhibited no functionality; the best that can be said is that while it cannot open any documents, the attempt does not always crash the app.

...since I can't open most 3D PDFs or U3D files. It simply hangs in processing. I've been able to open 1 or 2 test models generated out of my CAD system but they come in deformed. None of the embedded views exist. Pretty worthless for me. This app should have been developed much further prior to release.

It doesn't work, and you cannot see a key limitation until after you've purchased and downloaded. It does not support PDF without PRC data, so if your pdf was created with a non-adobe application you will get an error as not a valid file, even though the file can be opened and validated on a pc or mac using both adobe reader and other pdf viewers. I'll take an app that works or my money back techsoft.

I feel ripped off. This is a major flaw with the App Store, an app that doesn't work, the developer knows it and you've wasted your money with no recourse.

What can I say...it just doesn't work. Nothing opens. This is best described as a P.O.S.

I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt with all the bad reviews. In this case, I should have heeded the reviews. This app does not work with any adobe acrobat 3D files I have. (Correction) after searching. I figured out how this work. You first need to open it in adobe reader, then through Adobe reader tell it to open in this. 2stars, because all you can do is see the full model and turn/twist. No layers isolation

Open the file in Acrobat reader -> tap on the PDF and tell it to open in 3D app.
