Ads load slow

Cryosambk

I get that many apps have adds. I accept those for not paying for said apps. What I don’t like is that the space for the ads isn’t relatively fixed in the page. I find a story I want to read and by the time my thumb gets there I’ve selected the wrong story or an ad because the page loads slow. Maybe you can put a placeholder for the ad then let it render so it doesn’t mess up the placement of the remainder of the content?

Buggy ads disrupting user experience

iOS_end_user

Hard to see options in the feed clearly—as parts of ads appear in the background behind feed stories. Buggy scrolling of ads disrupts the feed and disrupts users when reading. Ads in general are just painful...because they distract from the import of the story...but buggy ads in the feed are even worse....adding unneeded noise and disrupting the user from finding a story. :( iOS team plz. fix thx.

News...?

smack-a-lackin

I am disappointed with the political coverage during the past few months. I see biased reports and “probably” reported in the news. I’m deleting this app and finding a true news source. If the news is “probably” correct, perhaps you should report on the weather.

Can’t send via text

About a month ago suddenly couldn’t send headlines via texts to my friends

Good app. Would be better without ads.

Kipp88

This is a really good source for world news. Too many ads though. Why not offer a paid version without ads?

App better than content

Sivadb

Been a member of the BBC fan club for quite a few years; however, that last few years have brought an obvious shift in the BBC reporting neutrality standards. It is easy to see within the first few sentences which way the article is going slant - and most of the times it is to the left. What happened to the days of just reporting real facts and events without shading or even, worse yet, attempting to tell the reader what to think?? International stories are still fairly well-informed and neutral but, most news that is US-related is oddly left-leaning... and prescriptive. Just the facts please.

Interferes with music app

wayne------

App keeps inserting itself into Airplay app in Control Center and interferes with my music when I’m paired with my Apple Watch. It’s complicated but very frustrating. There should be a way to prevent that.

Junk interface

JimmyJoeJimmyJoe

Advertising galore, invasive advertising, pop ups. Junk design overall.

Location targeting news?

Eddie Ski

Being in the US, and subjected to a fair amount of biased and US-only sources, I came to rely on BBC news for more global news. But over the last year, either the BBC app is pushing more location (US) with more on Trump than on Brexit! The ads are obnoxiously placed, and the app fails to deliver news I was looking for: About the EU, and other countries, not the US. I may try a VPN that puts me in the EU, and see if I am right about it targeting your location. In the meantime, for fair, unbiased US news, I am using the Knowhere news app.

Intrusive ads

sockwave55

I liked this app for a long time but the latest version has ads that activate and open your browser when you scroll over them and it makes it almost impossible to use. I don’t mind seeing ads but it’s incredibly annoying to leave the app every time my finger scrolls near one of them.
