Kinda works . Mostly crap . – Microsoft Lync 2010 for iPhone Review

Well , I appreciate that MS has a lync app for iphone , but don't expect it to be good enough for business . Most of the time I receive notifications of a message but it's not in the Lync app. I have missed countless messages . So "sorry I was on mobile, can you resend" becomes the norm. Most of the time I get an annoying server error but it's still "working". If you are logged into pc and mobile app... Well .. Good luck to you. If you need something stable , try google hangouts . Otherwise you can waste time chasing messages from people.
