Pay-2-Win – Pirates of Everseas Review

I wrote a review some time back, giving the developers 1 chance to fix a major problem with this game. The game was updated recently and the problem has not been fixed. The problem is player theft. When you first start the game, when you first go to the map screen, you'll notice in the top right hand corner, that there is a ticking clock that's counting down. When that clock reaches zero, that means anyone, and I mean ANYONE can swoop in, kick you in the face, steal a portion of your resources and then flee. You can't retaliate because the player that attacked you is FIVE levels higher than you. You can scrimp and save all you want when it comes to gold, wood, and iron but it won't do you any good because you essentially become a farm for higher level players to swoop in and collect resources from. You can, of course, spend gems to compensate for your lack of one or more resources but eventually you run out of gems and you're left with the option of paying to buy more or continue letting players steal your resources. Ultimately it becomes a test in futility because advancing is virtually impossible without spending real money. My advice, don't get this game. Don't become yet another low level farm for the bigger players who are willing to spend hundreds of dollars in order to gain an unfair advantage just so they can essentially bully you and steal from you without having to worry about any sort of repercussions. Sorry Glu, but you just lost a customer and I hope you lose more. I don't like being robbed and I refuse to spend a dime just to advance. The era of pay-2-win games needs to come to an end. I'm sick of them.
