Cryptic, no feedback – Vox Tools: Learn to Sing Review

It is not obvious how to use this app and there are no instructions. I was hoping for something that would give me feedback to know whether I needed to raise or lower my pitch, analogous to a dance or rhythm game, but (as far as I can tell) there is no such feature.
