Poor gameplay mechanics but Cool graphics – SummitX 2 Review

You can't choose what trick you want to do. The game chooses for you at each jump and prompts you to swipe in a specific direction in order to perform the trick. And if you don't swipe in the direction as prompted, no trick is performed. Also you start with only two tricks available and have to earn the rest of them. Plus there's only about twelve or so tricks to EARN that I saw listed in the game store and most of them aren't customizable (eg "Indy" and "Indy rodeo" may be options but not for "melon rodeo" or "stalefish rodeo"). When you think about it there should be tons of grab, flip, and spin combination permutations, but this game gives you only a handful - boring. X2 snowboarding, a different game made by a different company that doesn't make you use in-app purchases is the best snowboarding game in my opinion (it's closest to SSX) and I've tried them all. I think apo snowboarding (the first game made by this company) was better than this game. I wish I hadn't wasted my money. Cool graphics though.
