Not exactly sure what this app does? – Kanji Sensei - Learn Japanese Kanji Review

I was expecting an app that taught Kanji, it looked like I could learn how to write kanji which is why I downloaded it. I'm not exactly sure what this app does. I love all of the design for this app, it is beautiful so kudos to the designer. Just expanded usability would be nice. I would also appreciate if the app didn't assume that you're already fluent in hiragana.
