Issues with playback starting this week – Spotify - Music and Podcasts Review

I started having issues with playback the last two days. I will start playing a song and then it stops playback after about 12s and will not start playing again even after pausing and playing or restarting the app and my phone. I really hope an update will be released promptly to fix this bug so that I can use the service for which I pay for.
