NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT – Zip - Buy Now, Pay Later Review

I have been using this app for awhile and it was excellent when it was (Quadpay). I started off with a lower amount and grew as I made payments on time and placed more orders. They switched over to ZIP and that started of the same as well minus they now add $4 on every order. This past week I tried to make a purchase and it said my account was on hold. I didn’t receive a notice on this issue so I contacted support. I have not missed a single payment and I had $260 I was able to spend up to. My purchase amount was for $80 so this was an annoyance as to why it wouldn’t go through. Support was helpful as it seemed and they said one of my purchases triggered a threshold and it was put on hold for security reasons. I have made the same purchase weekly and have never had this happen. They told me to wait 48 hours and it will clear itself but if I try again it will reset the hold. They stated if it doesn’t lift after 48 hours to contact them again and they’ll look further into the issue. Fast forward to 4 days later I tried again and it gave me the same error of my account was on hold. I contacted support again about the issue and they replied with the same exact email to wait 48 hours and it will resolve itself. I replied and said it’s been 4 days now and still on hold so please look into the reason. They replied with the SAME exact email to wait 48 hours. I then knew this was just cookie cutter support probably done by another app and not an actual customer service representative. After waiting another 72 hours I figured I’d give it another try. My payment went through so I thought I was good from then on. This past Wednesday I used it again and my transaction couldn’t be processed as it said I was on a hold again. I messaged support again asking them to check into my account and why does this keep happening. They responded with.. you guessed it: we’re sorry please wait 48 hours and the hold will be removed.. I replied asking again why does this keep happening can I get any information as to the reason, is it the store I’ve been shopping with the past year? What is the reason so I can correct it myself?!? Then I finally received a response back after 24 hours.. This is the copy/paste response I received: Thanks for writing back with Zip. I’m sorry to hear that you’re unable to place an order using the app and this is not the experience we would like you to have. I’ll be more than happy to look into this for you. As I've mentioned with my previous email, this issue is due to some of your recent activity in our system, a threshold was triggered and that put your account on hold for security reasons. This particular account hold is at times resolved automatically by our system - the best thing to do is wait 48 hours before attempting to log in again. Kindly make sure that you won't make any transaction or access your account within that time frame to avoid resetting the waiting time. Regards, Zip US Buy now. Pay later. Anywhere you shop. So after 12 emails back and forth the solution is wait 48 hours and if it happens again wait 48 hours again. No customer support whatsoever. Sezzle and afterpay you at least can do a live chat with a real person. This one is going downhill fast and I’m getting off this ride. USER BEWARE
